Cann't shut down properly

we need to determain if your camera is still installed properly. Click the start button now just above it you will see a rectangle search box in that type device manager click enter now in that list you need to find your camera (Imaging Device) & see if it's installed. if there is a arrow next to it this means there is something wrong possibly uninstalled or needs a driver update, so right click on it then left click on update driver hopfully that helps

Have you checked the camera's status in the Device Manager? If the drivers is properly installed (there is no yellow triangle and exclamation mark) and it is not disabled, then you can test it using manycam application (www.manycam.com).

To check the drivers installation:
[Start], Control Panel, Device Manager.

Go on sony website and dowload the proper drivers for your machine. The old drivers from vista might not work properly in 7. I, personaly, recomand a fresh clean install in the upgrading cases. That means to format the HDD and install everything from zero. Upgrating from an OS to another by installing an update patch is not a big deal. There might remain some dirty registry wich will make the sistem running slowly.

Click on the below link and select the "Camera Category" to install the camera drivers for the computer. Download and install the 3 driver and its updates available.

If the Camera Driver in the Computer is missing, the Motion Eye Camera will not work.

You will need to re-install the Camera Driver for the Camera to work.

Download the Camera Driver to a folder in the Computer, the open the folder where the file is downloaded. After that, double click on the file to begin the installation. Please follow the onscreen instruction to complete the installation. After installing the Driver, restart the Computer. This should fix the issue and the Camera should work normally.

Your drivers might be incorrect. I have rechecked them again. If they don't work properly, you must check with it's driver properties. If you think it's still not working properly then try VAIO Recovery Center or visit VAIO Help Desk.
