The adapter need to match the charge voltage requirements of the battery in the Swissgear lantern.
This voltage maybe written on a label on the lantern.
i suggest go to the shop where you purchased the lantern for the charge adapter.

SOURCE: laptop won't turn on

The blinking orange battery light generally indicates that the battery isn't working properly, usually going out and not charging properly. In this case, since the adapter will not power the machine without the battery, and it should, I'm going to say that the adapter is going out and not getting the proper amount of power to the system. Try replacing the adapter. Be sure to replace it with a Dell replacement, the Targus brand universal adapters do not work well with Dell machines, and in most cases won't work at all.

SOURCE: Laptop does not work with AC adaptor, does not charge. Mother board issue

You may be able to get a battery charger but its rare.

If you do wish to use the AC adapter, take care with positive and negative. Also the voltage of the battery is actually lower than the AC adapter in order to get charged. I don't know what is going to happen if you do choose to use AC adapter as battery. 75% chance that it will work.

Good luck!

SOURCE: ac adapter

In some laptops the power socket (DC jack) is soldered to the motherboard.
If the battery stops charging when you wiggle the power plug inside the jack, either you have a bad power adapter (test it with a voltmeter) or the power jack is broken or loose.
If the power jack is not broken but loose (not making good contact with the motherboard) you can resolder the old jack without replacing it with a new one.
The laptop would have to be taken apart and the DC connector resoldered.
This would cost $75 - $100. Enter your zip code in the box on the right hand side of the FixYa page to find someone close to you.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

SOURCE: Laptop AC Adaptor

If the light is going out whenever you plug the Ac adapter in you most likely have a short in the laptop. The most likely culprits are a failed battery or a damaged AC port. Remove the battery and AC the use a pen or pocket knife to wiggle the pin in the center of the AC port. If it is solid, it's probably good, if it wiggles it's likely broken(may need a pro for this repair).

Assuming it's ok, leave the battery out and try plugging the AC back in. If the light goes out the problem is likely on the motherboard and may need a pro. If the light on the AC pack stays on turn on the laptop, if that works the battery is the problem, you can purchase a new battery.

Try these and let me know how you make out,

Chris

Anyone have a 120V AC adapter for SwissGear camping lantern SG66301?

Unfortunately nowhere. If you look by the charging port, there is often a sticker that shows volts, amps and polarity. With that you can buy from Amazon or eBay.

Swissgear rechargable lantern won't light up, even though the green led light indicates it is fully charged

There are several different models of the Swiss Gear rechargeable lantern. On most though, you can remove the top portion of the lantern and check the lighting element inside. In most cases the elements can be removed and replaced. I have a dual filament lantern and from experience I know that every so often you may have to go buy a replacement light piece. If the lantern has been bumped or even just strapped to the outside of the pack while walking, it's possible for those elements to become loose and need repositioning or replacement so do check that. I'm sure that it should be unlikely your charger is malfunctioning unless you left it plugged in for some very extended period of time, in which case I would say the light would be more likely to burn out. But definitely try that and if that doesn't work the battery pack on the lantern itself may have an issue in which case you can always get a replacement.

Psp is not charging

  • Make sure the AC adaptor is properly inserted in the PSP system and that the AC power cord is properly inserted in a working electrical outlet.

  • Make sure the AC adaptor for this product is being used.

  • Make sure the AC adaptor is clean. If not, wipe it with a dry, soft cloth.

  • Make sure the wireless (WLAN) network function is not in use while charging. The battery pack cannot be recharged when the WLAN function is being used.

  • If you are charging the battery pack in an extremely cold location, it might take longer to charge.

  • There might be a problem with the battery pack. For the PSP system, try using a replacement battery pack of the same type. For the PSPgo, the battery is built-in, you may need to send your system in for service.

My psp wont turn on!

  • Hi! TRY THESE TO SEE IF WE CAN GET YOU POWERED UP! :)

Confirm the system is not in HOLD mode

Make sure the PSP system is not in Hold Mode (in the down position). Slide the Power/Hold switch up to clear Hold Mode. Or try sliding the Power/Hold switch up and holding it there until the power indicator light turns off and the PSP system is completely turned off. Then try turning the PSP on again.

    • Confirm the backlight is ON
Make sure the LCD screen's backlight is not turned off. If it is, press any button to turn ON the backlight.

    • Confirm use of only licensed products (AC Adaptor, battery pack and charger)
The AC Adaptor, battery pack and battery charger must be licensed for use with the PSP system. All licensed products for use with the PSP will have the following logos displayed directly on the product and/or the packaging:
      pslogor.gif global_logos_psplogo_168x35.jpg global_logos_scealogowhite_60x73.gif
If any of the products you are using does not have these logos on them, we recommend that you immediately discontinue the use of these products, as they void the PSP system's warranty, and can cause damage to the system. See compatible peripherals for the PSP system for a full list of supported products.
There are some products that can be used with the PSP system that may not display our logos. Products such as San Disk 1GB Memory Sticks, or various USB cables, needs only to be genuinely certified. Look for the genuine certified logos on these products or contact the company which manufactures these products for more information.

    • Confirm the battery pack is correctly inserted
Make sure the battery pack is in its proper position (see inserting the battery pack for details).

    • Try the battery pack only
Unplug the AC adaptor from the PSP system. Make sure a charged PSP battery pack is inserted inside the PSP system. Turn on the unit. If you get power, then the problem may be with the AC adaptor and power cord.

    • Try the battery pack in a different PSP system
If possible, try your PSP battery pack in a different PSP system. If your battery works on a different PSP system, it may indicate an issue with your PSP system.

    • Try a different PSP battery pack
If possible, try a different battery in your PSP system. If a different battery pack does work on your PSP system, it may indicate an issue with the original battery pack.

    • Try the AC adaptor and the PSP battery pack
Insert the battery pack and plug in the AC adaptor. If you still do not get any power, your PSP system may need to be sent in for service (see PSP Service for details).

    • Try the AC adaptor / power cord only
Turn off the PSP system, unplug the AC adaptor, and remove the battery. Now plug in the AC adaptor to the PSP system with the battery removed. Confirm the AC adaptor and power cord are firmly connected to each other. Now make sure they are also firmly connected to the PSP system and the electrical outlet.
If the PSP system powers on, the battery may need to be replaced.

    • Check AC adaptor and power cord for damage
Visually inspect the AC adaptor and the power cord for damage. Do not use if frayed, cut, or damaged in any way.

    • Check the electrical outlet
Confirm the electrical outlet that you are using is active (receiving power). Try using a different electrical outlet.

    • Try a different AC adaptor and power cord
If possible, try a different AC adaptor and power cord. If a different AC adaptor and power cord does not work, the PSP system may need to be sent in for service (see PSP Service for details).

    • Confirm no unauthorized system software or downloads were used
Confirm that you have not used any unauthorized system software updates or downloads on the PSP system. Use of such unauthorized firmware updates voids the warranty and can damage the PSP system.

    • WLAN turned off
Make sure the wireless (WLAN) network function is not in use while charging. The battery pack cannot be recharged when the WLAN function is being used.

    • Power surge
If you experienced a power surge, shortage, or a lightning storm in your geographical area recently, this may have affected the PSP system's power supply. Please contact Consumer Services below for information.

    AC adaptor

You mention AC adaptor is loose when you try to recharge the battery. Yes you need to bring to a repair shop because probably there is loose solder inside or if you know how to open it up and how to do solder you'll save some $$ money. Good luck.
