SOURCE: bose 6 disc cd changer

Some bose cd changers have a gear the get cracked and must be replaced. You did not specify which bose you have, so I have told you of the most common problem with the bose 6 cd changers.

If this is in one of the silver slimline type of units, it is very difficult to get them apart if you have not dome it before. The gear is also very hard to get to in the changer. it would be a good idea to let a professional service technician look at it. You will need to take it to an authorized bose service center because bose does not sell parts to any service centers unless they are bose authorized. They just started that about 2 years ago.

I hope this was helpful to you, let me know if I can assist you further.

Dave

SOURCE: bose wave muoti cd changer

I have had a few of these come to my shop. The gears jump out of timing causing the cd lift to jam or become unalligned. The unit will have to be disassembled to get the CD out and the unit itself will need to be serviced (rebuild and retime cd changing mechanism)

SOURCE: Bose multi cd changer wont work, reads "Disc error"

I think there may be a problem with the system (defective parts) - I, too, am having this issue. I am going to contact the BBB - maybe if enough of us complain we will get a recall. To file a complaint:

Bose 2020 radio isn't connecting to 2016 multi cd changer. CD light come on but radio doesn't recognize disc 2, 3, or 4.

If your Bose 2020 radio is not connecting to your 2016 multi-CD changer and is not recognizing discs 2, 3, or 4, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check the connections: Make sure that the multi-CD changer is properly connected to the Bose 2020 radio. Check the connections for any loose or disconnected cables.
2. Check the disc format: Make sure that the discs you are trying to play are in a format that is compatible with the CD changer. Some CD changers may not be able to read certain formats or may have trouble reading scratched or damaged discs.
3. Clean the discs: Try cleaning the discs to remove any dust, dirt, or fingerprints. Use a soft, lint-free cloth and wipe from the center of the disc to the outer edge.
4. Clean the CD changer: Dust and debris can build up inside the CD changer, causing it to have trouble reading discs. Try using a CD cleaning disc or a can of compressed air to remove any dust or debris that may be inside the CD changer.
5. Reset the system: Try resetting the Bose 2020 radio and the CD changer. Unplug the power cords from both devices, wait a few minutes, and then plug them back in.
If none of these solutions work, there may be a problem with the CD changer or the radio. You may need to contact Bose customer support for further assistance or take the devices to a qualified technician for repair.

My 3 disc change not working properly. cd are d2 and d3 and will not ejeck

Loosen 4 screws on bottom. You may want to take the two front ones out. They are phillips head. Drop the botom portion of the changer down about an inch or so. You will see all the disc that are stuck. Take a pair of micro plyers and simply grab the edge of the disc and gently pull and it will come out very easily Be sure and grab the very edge of the disk so as not to damage it. It took me all of 5 minutes to remove the disc in a 3 disc changer. What caused it to become stuck in first place is another question. You shoud have a green light beside each slot that has a disc in it.

I have a Bose acoustic wave muti-disc changer.i have 5 disk in changer,i cannot eject any disk,& it looks like its hung up on # 5.non of the disk will play. Thank You-

I called Bose service. Jason said to unplug for 1minute then plug back in. If the changer does not reboot and operate properly....you call Bose service. They will exchange your cd changer for a new one.
$75 plus tax and return your cd's to you. They will give instructions for the exchange when you call.

Dvd not ejecting

which bise system do you have ?

is it a lifetstyle system with a 6 disk cd changer ?

if so .

the disk being a dvd and being label down is in significant, the real proble is that the cassettte is mechanislly jammed with the disk as a wedge between it and the cd player part.

dissasembly of head unit may be required if you cant jam something into the cassette unit and forceably remove it. okay your disk may be scratched and the cassette may even be damaged, you could even try driving a screw into the cassette on the left hand most side to give you a bit of something to lever with. but that is your only option. a new cassette will probably be required. and dissasembly is likely especially if it feels like forcebaly removing the cassette will leave bits of broken cd player or dvd disk inside the head unit.

i should point out that if it is not a cd 20 model with a 6 disk cd cassette, do not attempt to do as i have mentioned above.

in either event i can't warranty your actions as a result of my suggestion. but i can safely assure you that a bose shop will definately get it fixed for you, and you can probably contact bose direct yourself who will definitley fix it for you. for how much howevr i am not sure.
you could alsway decide to scrpa the head unit and invest in a second hand one sourced on the internet.

sorry for your troubles, but i know how you feel when my kids insert fist fulls of coins into my car cd player. !!!!
