Contact the authorized service centre for LG. The fault sounds like strange.

Switch off TV manually, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours.If problem persists, please refer it to a qualified service technician.

if the Tv have back light the problem is t-con if not the problem is inverter

Bad interface circuit or power supply. Needs servicing..

If you go to menu do you get that on the screen?

This turned out to be due to weirdness in my laptop's onboard graphics card. If I set the external monitor to display the way an external monitor usually does, as a clone of the laptop screen, the videos show up blank. But if I set it as dual-screen (extend my desktop to this monitor) and drag the video app onto the second monitor, it works fine.

Does the screen go blank after the computer has been sitting unused for a while or is it immediately blank and does not show a picture. If it goes blank after a while, look in your power settings under control panel on your computer and set the monitor cut off to NEVER, also check your screen saver settings. If it does not show a picture at all check the user manual of your TV to see the supported computer resolutions and then check under display settings on your computer to see if the resolution that you are using is compatible.
