SOURCE: hi i am looking for

Sony part number 1-453-285-21. It's not difficult to find these online. I suggest getting an original Sony part. Many of the cheap aftermarket replacements I've tried in Sony sets don't seem to work well. You'll pay a little more but the part will work. I just found this listing on eBay for one, and it's a good price.

Look at the horizontal output transistor then the fly back transformer.Check ALL the voltages coming from the power supply. One or more of them have to be missing for the audio and video to be gone at the same time.

Need a flyback transformer

This part rarely fails in this set so let me know if sweep transistor is shorted or what?

To answer: Contact JVC with the correct model number and try to get the part number---nothing JVC will be cheap but with the actual part number you can Google to see if available.

I would also suggest checking someone like Suburban Electronics who sells a lot of these parts---online catalog and or phone.

Purchased this 56" projection TV

You can get it repaired. Its maybe a resistor/s thats losing its value and needs to be replaced.
You can locate this on the mother board close to the or near to the Fly-back transformer section.

Tv has power, can hear sound, but picture is black. when i shut it off a horizontal white line appears for a short second. can this be easily fixed?

Well, If you are technically sound, you can fixed it, but I will like you to check the line Or Fly-back Transformer and the horizontal and vertical side of the circuit very well.

I have a JVC AV-61 Pro I'm told I need to replace the Fly back unit or switch. where could I acquire such part?

The largest OEM parts dealer is Andrews Electronics, they have a site and also a 800 number but if you do not know the part number for what you want you will have to talk to someone in the research department----they ship and do take phone orders.

JVC AV27230 had a bright white screen with lines across it. now just went black

You may have a power supply issue and at the flyback transformer .
There also may be components in the circuit surrounding the fly-back that are malfunctioning.
The issue points to a repair at the board level. A tech will be able to determine this with test where the issue is on the main board.

Our JVC AV-32F703 has a black screen when we turn it on. The sound works fine. What could it be? The tv was purchased in Jan 03

try up the screen bottom in the fly back. if yoy see a white horizontal line the tv have a cold solder in vertical ic or is bad.

well take the back off on the transformer should be two adj. pot screen control on top focus on bottom normally try to turn up screen control good luck

JVC AV 270305 Brightness not Bright enough.

Yes you could look for the capacitor that is leaky, probably in the 200v line, or you could just open back and turn up G2 screen control on the Flyback. You have Screen and Focus on this black transformer with a long anode lead going to the picture tube of set. Becareful, High Voltage!
