No power on Sony KDL-32BX300. White fuse is not blown, getting standby voltage on mainboard.

The plug is fine and I am getting 3.3V on multiple pins from the 8N and 3N connectors (main board). What is the next step to continue diagnosis?

When I say the white fuse is not blown, that means that I measured zero ohms when testing for resistance with the set NOT plugged in. I do know the difference between OL and 0.000

SOURCE: Sony Bravia KDL 46", no picture, standby light blinks 4 times

Since the TV is still receiving power, the problem is going to be with the TV's mainboard.  After you unplugged the TV and plugged it back in, you said the power light went out again, so I assume the standby light wasn't flashing again?  The flashing standby light is indicating an error code so my suggestion is to contact Sony for service options regardless if there is a warranty or not because service is the only solution to this situation.  Don't forget to provide them the error code or 4 flashes repeating.

I would suspect one or more of the miniature flourescent backlight lamps. One way to confirm this would be to power up the set with a grayscale image at 40 to 60 IRE. If one or more lamps is failing to light, a slightly darker horizontal area in the grayscale will give it away. Unfortunately, Sony will not supply any of the backlight components apart from a new LCD panel. Sorry.

Most likely this is caused by a defective main board. Changing the main board will fix the issue about 95% of the time.

To be absolutely sure, the voltages need to be checked on the power supply. If they are not the values listed in the service manual, then you should replace the power supply instead (accounts for the other 5% of the time).

SOURCE: My Sony Bravia KDL-26S3000 won't turn on and is stuck in standby.

Hi,

There is a power fault with one of the PCB's inside, contact Sony if you are still in warranty, if not contact a Sony service center as it will need an engineer to open it up to repair it.

Thanks

Philips (37PFLG777K/12) LED TV do not turn and do not show the Standby LED. 3,3V Standby can not be meassure.

The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Sony Bravia Bx 300 Blinking Light/Volume

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. You can get a clear idea about which board should be replaced.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
