the lock ring is available, have seen them from your local parts houses.if the lock ring is rusted that bad make sure the metal lines for fuel pump are not bad. why are you replacing is it leaking not sure how you would no without removing tank. good idea to also replace large o'ring under lock ring(also available @ part house.
Some (not all) DVD players have a manual open mechanism on them. It's a tiny hole under or near the DVD drawer where you can insert a stiff wire (straightened paper clip) straight in and push gently to force it open. Most PC CDROM drives have these; not sure about Blue Ray players. James
There are tiny clips but you wont see them you need a small screwdriver to lever under the bottom of the cover. Once you get one clip off you will see how the rest come off.
Remove the burners and clean them thoroughly of rust and spider webs, taking particular care of the throat where the orifice shoots gas into the burner. Also make sure the burner holes are free of rust. Wipe any accumulations off of the gas orifices also.
