There should be no password on the BIOS by default. You need to remove the password by removing the backup battery inside the laptop case. This is NOT the main battery, but a small button-cell battery inside, mostly directly on the motherboard.

Hi!
-Connect the VGA Cable of the Projector to the VGA out connector of the laptop.
-Power on the Projector and Laptop
-You should get the display from the projector.

(If not Press FN+ the key marked for external display switching) If you have Windows 7 on you laptop, you can use WIN KEY+P to switch the display.

Was the proyector working prior to this problem?
Check to see that the SHUTTER function is not on (press SHUTTER on the remote).
Also verify the brightness settings to check they are not on the lowest setting.
Finally check that the input selection is on the proper setting (RGB, SVIDEO, VIDEO, etc)
Clean the air filter to make sure it is getting good air.
Was the lamp recently replaced or has it been in use for a long time. These proyectors have a setting that shuts down the lamp after a couple thousand hours of use.
