Sounds like your speakers aren't connected properly. check your speaker leads coming from your radio and make sure they are positive to positive and negative to negative. if you're using an external amplifier, check your RCA cables and your speaker outputs on the amp. make sure thr remote turn on lead is connected, otherwise the amp won't even power on.
hope that helped, good luck

Where where do i find the fuse for the speedometer on a 2001 Crown Vic

There are three fuse's for the instrument cluster , all located in the central junction box (fuse panel ) inside the vehicle ,under the dash !
Fuse # 14 a 10 amp , fuse # 23 15amp. and #6 15amp . Look behind right and left kick panel . But i don't think this is a fuse problem , gauge itself could be bad .

'99 Ford Crown Vic LX: #12 30A Maxi fuse blows seconds after starting or ignition turned on.

i had this problem with my 1999 jeep grand cherokee laredo with the brake lights it kept popping fuses right after the ignition was turned on try putting a higher amp fuse in place of the old one that keeps blowing then check for shorts to the starter and check grounds and wires and also the transmission issue check the fluid and then if the fluid is fine change the transmission filter the filter may have not gotten replaced when the transmission was rebuilt and may be clogged or dirty

The heating in my 2001 Crown Vic is delayed for 15-20 mins. It has been aprox. -10 to low teens lately. Do you know the issue?

With the outside temp being so low you can expect the heating in the vehicle to take longer to heat up and possibly not be as hot as if the temp was somewhat higher.

Radio does not work in 1993 crown vic, want to put in a replaceme

Go to your local auto parts store where you can purchase a Ford audio removal tool. It looks like a wire shaped "U" that is inserted in the holes on face of audio system ..Follow the directions for use , you will find it a pretty easy task with the correct tool..

1997 Crown Vic blows radio fuses

The quickest way to find a short circuit is by putting a bulb in place of the fuse. Anytime the time the bulb lights there is a load. And if the load is a shorted wire the brightness of the bulb will give you a hint. So while you're at it, finding a 'short' is a quicky...keep your eyes on the bulb. gotcha!

1997 Crown Vic blows radio fuses

Try checking all the grounds for the radio, over time they can weeken. If that doesn't work, put in a new ground wire with a heavier gauge, that should fix it. It sounds like a ground problem.

Good luck, Daniel
