My T.V is turning itself off after 2 seconds where you can hear sound but there is no picture

My t.v was working fine last night then I went to turn it on today and it won't turn on. When it does turn on, it stays on for about 2 seconds and you can hear sound, but no picture. After the 2 seconds the t.v turns itself off. I checked all the connections. What is wrong? Is it an internal problem?

Hello according to the symtom that you have describe I think that maybe you have activated the sleep function button on your tv and if this is not so maybe there is an internal problem on the main board of the tv.

Was working fine last night ,went to turn it on and you can hear a buzzing by where you plug in your jacks a bee,or high pitch sound.tv has no picture or sound.only sound you hear is this buzzing

Sounds like your power supply is causing the problem. Unplug the TV wait 10 minutes, look in the back for a red button (circuit breaker) push it in. If this does not work you have a low voltage power supply fault.

I have an LG 50PS8000 plasma tv which is nearly 2 years old. For the last few months its has occassionally been getting a red haze over the entire screen which either dissapeared on its own or went if you...

I've also had a popping noise on our 50" LG plasma TV, however the picture has not gone, but has turned grainy and colors are weird. Can this also be a blown fuse or a more severe problem (ysus board or similar)?

WD65733 Mitsubishi projection HDTV worked fine last night. This morning when I turn it on I can hear sound but no picture. After a minute it turns itself off. What is the problem?

Most likely just needs a new lamp.
the lamp is easy to replace , google for the lamp to buy one online.
a few screws hold the lamp door and lamp in place.

Set won't stay on, won't turn on

Sounds like a capacitor on the power supply is bad. Easy fix.

TV turns itself off after a few seconds, no picture at all

As far as fixing goes, you might as well get a new TV... Unless its a LARGE EXPENSIVE HOLY $%^# TV, It will cost more to fix, than to just buy a new one, unless its under warranty, which being an older model as that (or so im reading) It may not be covered.

Try unplugging the TV, and while unplugged, hold down the power button for a full minute (yes, with the plug NOT in the wall) after a minute, plug it back in, and try. Its a hard reset. If it still does not work, and you've tried different outlets, It's probably a repair issue, and you'll need to get someone to fix it, or just junk it :-/

TV WENT OFF BY ITSSELF

This may denote a proble in either your switching powers supply or your Horizontal section derived high voltage power supply. These are both very dangerous sections in your television. My next question is important; do you have a background in electronics? If not I would not advise you working on this problem yourself and that you take the TV to a repair shop for servicing. If you do have some background in electronics, I would like for you to make the following obeservations: What was the TV doing (it actions)prior to it going out? Did you hear any sounds before it went out like buzzing or crackling? What do you hear when you try to turn it on now, clicking? These questions are just to develop some background into what might be happening to your set. Thank you, Shuttle83
