Is there a way to check the A14292 pump to see why when you pull the trigger on the wand no water comes out
Water should come out the tip even if the mechine is not running if the water is on. So there for now water is flowing through the punp at all witch mean you have a problem with a restriction of water flowing through the pump . What dose it do with the engine running dose the blow out valve open and water come out there . Dose the pump spin .Is there water in the pump oil .How often do you use the mechine and is it kepted in the cold over the winter with out winterizeing it Give more information mabey i can help you but it dosn't sound to good now
SOURCE: pressure washer stalls out when wand nozzle is released
common for not starting unless trigger engaged as you are turning the pump as well as engine creating pressure,as for stalling pump has unloader valve which is probably in need of grease(use good silicone grease)this allows water to ciculate when trigger released.
SOURCE: No water pressure coming from pump
The pump is bad and needs to be replaced. you have done all the test. On the Briggs they do have kits to rebuild the pump on your system you can just go to there website and get the rebuild kit. It is safer to go through them because they have jsut started producing the rebuild kits, and other companies have tried to copy them, but there kits are worthless. Please rate
SOURCE: let go of wand trigger pressure will not come back
spill valve is stuck and needs to be cleaned and greased common problem....also check all connections for blockage in line
SOURCE: Motor does not shut off when trigger on wand is released
When the trigger is released, pressure builds up and this acts on a valve (spill valve or pressure control valve). When this pressure is big enough it will push the spill valve out and closes a micro switch. Now this Spill Valve gets stuck sometimes, mainly due to soap and chemicals...so the micro switch is not closed...so the machine contiues running. If this is left likee this it will cause damage to the valves. So all one has to do is service the spill valve or as I usually do I replace it. There are cases were the micro switch is damaged also..and needs to be replaced. To see the spill valve and micro switch you must open the cover. The spill valve is located where you see a cover with an electric wire coming out of it. If the micro switch is good...you must tackle the Spill valve.

Hope this helps. I have the same problem. It's not the switch but the mechanism that slides inside the switch, which activates the switch to go on and off. I fnally found it so hopefully they have the part in stock. It's not a clogged wand trust me I have torn it completley apart and found out it is the mechanism in the switch is plastic and breaks.
