The temperature probr is located inside your oven in one of the upper corners. it should be a round stick looking piece. some are removed from the front others are removed from the back.

That's an oven sensor error. Replace the oven sensor. If you still have the error, check the wiring and/or replace the timer/clock board.

Good luck!

F3 beeping

Hi

F3 Error indicates a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

The oven reached a very high temperature and the digital screen read F1 and F3 at times and also beeped for sometime... could not turn the oven off so I unplugged it.. Not sure what F1 or F3 means...

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F3 error code indicates an open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the temp.sensor needs replacement. If you want to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around or less then 1100ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Hi, the F2 error code means that the oven is overheating for an unknown reason. F3 and F4 indicate a problem with the oven sensor, which usually requires replacing the sensor.

Oven beeps and display read "F3". what does this mean?

Hi dpaulthomas,

The F3 fault code description is a shorted or open oven temperature sensor. The easiest way to resolve this error is to check the sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. If you noticed that the wiring is all ok, replace the oven temperature sensor (RTD).

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Display reads " -F3-

Replace the oven temperature sensor. Unplug the range. Open the oven. The temp sensor will be in the top right or left of the oven.A short metal piece about half the size of a pencil. Remove the screws, pull it out carefully. Disconnect the wire plug. Reverse this order to install the new sensor.

F2 and F3 code appearing along with annoying beeping

i think f3 error code has something to do with the temp probe maybe it is the problem. the temp probe is located if you open the door directly in the back wall. it looks like a prong. should read 1100ohms the f2 error code though usually has something to do with the keypad i would check all the connections maybe they are loose.

My oven displays F3 and beeps

f3 error code is generally a bad oven sensor. not every code is universal, but most manufacturers use the f3 error code to indicate a sensor issue. it is an easy fix if you want to tackle the problem yourself. Joe

Oven won't stay on and give an F error message

Disconnect the power. Disconnect the sensor harness from the control. Measure the sensor resistance (white leads). The resistance should be 1080 ohms at room temp. If the sensor is open the resistance is usually over 2900 and you get an F3 message. If the sensor is shorted the resistance is usually less than 950 ohms and you get an F4 error message. Also look for damaged harness terminals if not a bad sensor.
