My IBM think pad has an error message of "stuck key 01" pls. help [email protected]

If you've got a spare keyboard lying around give it a try and see if you get the same error message.
This means one or more of the keys on the keyboard is stuck down.
Look at the keys to see if one or more of the keys is lower than the others. If the key cannot be released or fixed then the keyboard needs to be replaced.
This problem can be caused by spill liquids on the keyboard.

If that doesn't work try resetting your BIOS back to its default settings.

Error 0210: stuck key 01

I assume its a laptop. laptops some times get stuck keys, meaning one of the keys has not fully released after it was depressed. I recommend getting some compressed air in a can and give it a good cleaning. there might be something stopping git from popping back up. then give the keys a little work out. just mash the keys a bit. then turn it back on. if you still have an error, then you might want to consider replacing the keyboard. if you don't, it will not harm you pc in anyway...good luck

Laptop computer has 'keyboard error' unable to use mouse

There are factors we need to consider for us to be able to come up with an answer.

These are the things i can say for now.

1. Laptop keyboards are very delicate unlike desktops, so too much press in a key can cause this problem.
2. Is your laptop keyboard still works after showing a :KEYBOARD ERROR"? If yes, the system is just confuse, maybe the driver of your keyboard malfunctions every time you open your computer.
3. If it is nt working after the error message, the driver or even the keyboards itself malfunctioned.
4. Have a technician look inside your laptop (experienced laptop technician) and ask them to check the wiring between the system board and your keyboard. I guess there's just a key stuck in press mode that's causing the error.

This is all for now, i cannot give an exact answer since i don't have your laptop to check personally.

If you have anymore questions regarding this problem, feel free to update this post.

Receive a drive one \error not found message

The keyboard has a feature (and associated button) called F-Lock. By default, when the computer boots, F-Lock is turned on. In the F-Lock mode, rather than sending the standard key commands for the function keys, the keyboard sends special alternate commands (like print for F7 and save for F8) that are configured in the iTouch program. In order to force the keyboard to send the standard function key commands, you must TURN OFF F-Lock by pressing the F-Lock button! Oh, and by the way, there are no indicator lights on the keyboard, and the F-Lock button is an always up momentary button - just like the keys on the keyboard, so there is no way to tell what state it is in, other than by pressing it and then pressing an F key to see what happens!

Error 0210: Stuck Key 01

This is a system board POST/BIOS error code (nothing todo with Windows). The ERROR 210: is a standard POST (Power On Self Test) errormessage that indicates an error with the keyboard. The error condition is thata keyboard scan code was received from the keyboard when none was expected, after the keyboard was reset. If this occurs most of the time when you power on yoursystem, then it indicates that a key is sticking down or the key mechanical orelectrical parts are broken. Sometimes blowing out and cleaning out around thekeys will resolve this problem. Otherwise, you need to replace your keyboardwith a new (or at least a working) one.

Have a gateway m series laptop. The keyboard is malfunctioning.

Sorry to hear about your Gateway problems...

Your keyboard is or has a stuck key or keys.
If the unit gives you an error message or Beeps at start up, this will be the cause.
Maybe, someone had gotten the keyboard wet or dropped something on the key pad ?
Either way, if you are receiving a error message, or seeing type appear on the screen while you are not typing, it the keyboard.
Keyboards are east to come buy for that unit and should be less than $30.00 USD.
" Don't buy a used keyboard "
Good luck, have fun, hope this info has helped you.

Problem .......x61 tablet help !!!!!!!

Hello snapshots,
I have an x61, and you may want to check that all of the keys on your keyboard are not damaged, and that none of them are stuck in the pressed position. That is what the "stuck key" message typically means. If you check out the keyboard, and all the keys are fine, and if you are still receiving this message, try calling Lenovo support. There is an off chance that your keyboard (or other components) may be slightly defective.
Here is the link to the Lenovo site: http://lenovo.com/planetwide/select/selector.html
Hope this helps!

Keyboard is stuck and need change boot order

You can try connecting an external keyboard. When the external is connected the BIOS may ignore in built-in keyboard, bypassing your keyboard error.

You can also try removing the stuck key by prying it up GENTLY.

The answer to your question is unless you can get a working keyboard connected to your computer there is no way to change the boot order. Without a working keyboard you can't get into the system setup (BIOS), nor can you press the correct key.

I have one intel 845gvsr board for repair. The board is dead. When RAM is removed it gives memory error beeb i.e. 3 long beeps, but RAM is ok & cpu is also ok. When is installed the board does nothing. No...

Hi there
Three Long Beeps = Keyboard/Keyboard card error
An error with the keyboard can be caused by any of the below possibilities.
  1. Keyboard is not connected properly.
  2. Stuck key
  3. Bad keyboard
  4. Bad PS/2 or AT port
Solution:Keyboard is not connected properly
Verify that the keyboard is connected properly to the computer by turning off your computer and then disconnecting and reconnecting the keyboard to the computer.

Stuck key

Ensure that there are no stuck keys on the keyboard. If all keys appear to be ok and you have a standard desktop computer with keyboard, attempt to turn keyboard over and gently hit the back of the keyboard to loosen any dirt or hair that may be stuck in the keyboard.

Bad keyboard

Try another keyboard on the computer to verify that the keyboard has not gone bad.
Bad PS/2 or AT port
If all of the above solutions are not able to resolve your issue it is likely that the port on the back of the computer may be bad and the motherboard or I/O board may need to be replaced.

Good luck and kind regards
