I understand that your Frigidaire Affinity dryer, model# FAQE7001LW, is running but there is no heat. Before calling a technician, check the following solutions:

1)Make sure that the two house fuses your dryer is attached to. If one of the two fuses is blown, the drum may turn but you won't receive any heat.

2)For Gas Models Only: Make sure the gas supply valve is open, make sure there is enough air supply to support the burner flame, and make sure the LP gas supply tank is not empty or there has been a utility interruption of the natural gas.

3)Check the lint filter, the ducting that leads outside, as well as the outside vent for any lint that might be clogged inside. This can cause a no heat issue, due to your dyer is not getting a good air flow.

4)For Electric Dryers Only: Make sure your dryer is connected to a 208 volt circuit.

I understand that your Frigidaire Affinity dryer, model# FAQE7001LW, is not heating as well as only running about 5-7 minutes of the cycle before shutting off. There are a couple things to check.

1)The gas supply valve is not open. Check to make sure that the gas valve is open.
2)The dryer does not have enough air supply to support the burner flame. Check with your local gas company to make sure that your dryer is installed correctly.
3)There is a possibility that your LP gas supply tank is empty or there has been a utility interruption of natural gas. Try refilling or replacing the tank.
If you are still having trouble with your dryer, I suggest giving it a hard reset, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker for 3-5 minutes. When power is restored, start any cycle. If you are still noticing that there is no heat and it stops 5-7 minutes into the cycle, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician. Hope this is helpful.

Hello Scott Joseph Brandt - Since you have already replaced the thermal limiter check your breaker or fuses. Some dryers are run by two separate fuses, one for power and one for heat-ours is. If it is not the power source more than likely the issue lies with your heating coil.

mybe the star button stay stuck and the dryer tinks some one is puching the star button and it will continio to run. try to open the door and it will stop and then clouse the door if the dryer star whitout pushing the star then you now the star switch is stuck. goo lock

Hello Friend, If the igniter is glowing continally and not clicking off, then your therm-disc is definately bad. It's attached to the burner shroud right across from the igniter. It reads the heat off the igniter through a little rectangular hole in the shroud. Replace and problem should be solved.

If igniter is glowing and then cools down and then begins to glow again in a repeating manner then I would say that the thermo-disc is good and you need to replace the gas valve coils. coils are easy to change, they are located on top of gas valve, two screws hold them in place. An easy fix.

During normal operation, the display may show: “ad” - dryer is in an auto dry cycle. “dn” - cycle is done in auto dry. “PF” - a power failure to the board has occurred. “Err” - an error has been detected. “LOC” - control lock is activated. “PAU” - cycle has been interrupted.

Hi, This is a gas dryer? UNPLUG the dryer! You will find what you need behind the front lower panel. You can remove this by using a flat blade and releasing the two clips that hold the panel in place. First thing you need to checkis the fuse (white in color) located on the blower housing. Check to see if it has continuity. If that checks ok, You can plug the dryer back in and start it in normal cycle. Watch and see if the ingnitor glows orange. If it glows and you get no flame before the ignoitor shuts off, you will need to change the coils on top of the gas valve.

If when you run it you smell gas please stop running it!
You should shut the gas valve off immediately anyway!
If the gas heater isn't working when your running it it's probably the Valve that activates the gas (Selenoid) or the Ingnitor that lights it!
It could be the burner which distributes the gas in which case you would smell gas.
My best guess......the ignitor!
