Kenmore elite dishwasher mdl 665.16919001 all lighs out, won't come ont

Kenmore Elite Quietguard 5. The lights all went out. Can't get anything to come on. The unit was purchased 2001, mdl 665.16919001. I have seen various reset codes in other answers, but none that match the buttons on this model. Can anyone please help? I have opened up the front and gained access to control panel, have checked thermal fuse as well as latch with ohm meter, and both of them are still working. What else cd it be? Any suggestions wd be appreciated. thank you!

We tried unplugging the unit for half an hour, and reconnecting. Did not work. Still no lights at all. I think either I need reset codes, or the unit is toast.

Sounds like the control lock is activated and you'll need to deactivate it. Press and hold the drain and spin button for 5 seconds to accomplish this.

My Kenmore Elite Ultra Wash Dishwasher keeps shutting off before entering the cycle. I have repositioned dishes, even emptied it, changed cycle and tried everything. When I press the start light flashes...

I too had problems with the Kenmore Elite (aka Bosch). The issue was solved by replacing the Lock Sensor on the door. After replacing the sensor the dishwasher has been working. Hope this helps.

Clean light keeps blinking; dishwaher won't turn on

Hello Brian, welcome to FixYa.
Based on your post I understand your dishwasher is a Kenmore and the clean light is flashing and it won't start, correct ?
If so, this is usually an error code indicating there was a problem in the heating process the last cycle it ran, however if you could provide the complete model number I could speak specifically to whether it applies to your machine and potentially what to do about it.

Here are the instructions to set and unset the child lock.

Setting the Child Lock:
1. Press the Sensor Dry or Lock pad and hold for
three seconds.
2. An indicator light next to the lock graphic will
illuminate when the controls are locked.
To cancel:
1. Press the Sensor Dry or Lock pad and hold for
three seconds.
2. The indicator light will go off.

Check the continuity of the thermal fuse. It's clipped onto the electronic control inside the console.
