SOURCE: Hoshizaki KM-1600S too much water supply

If water is standing in the bin the drain is clogged. If water is raining down into the bin, Machine may not be level or the drain on the ice machine maybe partially clogged. If machine freezes up water will rain into bin too. Water fills ice machine while in harvest and continues to fill until ice machine`s suction reaches 49 degrees and the defrost timer times out.(usually 1-3 minutes after suction line reaches 49 degrees)

SOURCE: Why is my Hoshizaki ice machine evaporator frozen

if the defrost/hot cycle doesn't work, the ice won't fall and eventually freeze everything.

Testimonial: "Thanks, I should have indicated that this machine is water-cooled & problem does not develop until bin is full of ice; does your solution still apply?"

Start by looking for water valve leaking. Turn machine off and if water is entering machine, water valve is not seating. Let me know if you need more than this.

My hoshizaki ice machine is making ice but water filling up in the bin with the water. What do we do?

Your Hoshizaki ice maker's water level sensor is probably broken if it produces ice but also fills the bin with water. You must make sure the water level sensor is connected properly and working in order to resolve this.
The sensor might need to be replaced even if it is attached and working properly. You should be able to do this yourself because Hoshizaki ice machines are fortunately simple to repair and maintain.
If everything else fails, you can always get aid from a specialist.
Ultimately, it's crucial to confirm that your Hoshizaki ice maker is operating correctly. After all, nobody enjoys drinking water that is only warm.

Raritan icer-ette only filling 5 of 8 slots in ice mold

They marine ice makers are fussy. The ice maker needs to be level or water will drip down into the ice bin. The amount of water entering the tray is controlled by time. The other factor is pressure. The marine water system has a relatively low water pressure as compared from marina water feed.

I would confirm the number of cubes produced from the unit when connected directly to the city water pressure. If at the highest pressure it is below expectations I would follow the video. How Do Adjust an Icemaker Home Appliances

There is a screen filter before the solenoid line that can fill with debris. So you may need to check it if you can not make a satisfactory adjustment.
If you are like me and always work form the internal water tank avoiding a burst water line and "sink the ship" then adjust it for the lower pressure.

Ice cube shape

hoshizakis make ice cubes depending on the amount of water in the sump. if you are starving for water the sump only partially fills in the fill time allowed . then it makes ice until the water is used up and the float switch drops and the cubes are little slices. you can adjust the size of cubes you want by raising or lowering the float assembley in the sump. if its to low the water rises and the float rises and tells the machine you happy with little slices. if you raise it up to max height you can max fill before float satisfies and max ice cubes. But if you are starving for water the time to fill will run out before the sump fills and cubes will be small no matter where you set the floats assembly. water starving can be due to crud in the water line, to small a water line, most hoshizes take a half inch line ,or a clogged water filter. if you suspect a filter take it out . if fill is drastically improved you need a new filter. be aware that starving for water on a hoshizaki will eventually lead to broken evap plates. big time expensive.good luck. i put in a new machine ruined by starving water and the new one made little chips of ice real quick. i finally pulled the filter out and voila! big cubes and great production.

No Ice From Kitchen Aid

Mark, your water valve has screwed the pooch. Replace it. The part number is 2199838.

What's happening is this... the valve that fills your ice maker is by-passing a small amount of water. This water has to flow through that tube, right? When very small amounts (drop by drop) go through the IM fill tube, they flash freeze. Eventually they (the frozen drops of water) form a big block of ice inside the fill tube. This ice creates a blockage which creates back-pressure whenever the IM "calls" for water. The back pressure eventually blows the tube off of the connection behind the fridge.

You say that this happened over night... no way. If you look closely at the ice cubes that you IM has been making, you'll see that they are hollow. Hollow cubes means that your IM isn't getting enough water... (because the fill tube is blocked).

The water continues to drip after the ice cube maker is full.

Sounds like the water fill solenoid valve is leaking by. You will have to change that solenoid valve if the water continues to drip into the ice maker tray after a normal fill cycle. http://www.partselect.com/AdvancedModelSearch.aspx?ModelNum=JCD2295HES&mfgModelNum=JCD2295HES&fkMfgID=1
