Am troubleshootin an emachine d525 with no display, cannot find wher the lid closed switch is located
More than likely it's part of the inverter for the lcd. i've seen that numerous times. if you have an extra inverter try that.

thanx, Joel, but I found the solution, the emach.. d525 has a magnetic switch located on the main board, a very small chip activated by a magnet located behind the lcd lid bezzel, I was able to locate the magnet using metal, which indicated where under the palm rest the chip was located. the chip is very small, and i determined not to be the issue anyway. had to recomend to my customer to replace the motherboard,, Paul, P & P pc @ pandppc.com
