Normally, you will have to reflash the ECU. You will need to got to Halfords or any shop that has it. Then locate the port under the steering wheel. turn the car on and it should work.

2013 Toyota Hilux 1KZTE. The engine light comes on after 1 minute from starting and then only runs at 1200 rpm with full throttle and engine cuts off after 1 minute from engine light appearing?

Hi,

Please check your alternator, engine and battery with a diagnostic test from your nearest autozone. Any of these could be leading to your car-shutdown issue.

A bad alternator can even a brand new battery if it's attached to your car's system long enough.

Thank you.

New battery - battery is drained in the morning.Replaced voltage regulator. Disconnected aircon. Still drains overnight. Ute will start and run with full battery but it drains overnight.

Easyest thing to do is pull one cable off your battery. Start pulling fuses and each time touch the cable to the battery post. When you find one that reduces the spark drastically that is the circuit to investigate.

Toyota immobiliser

When a battery is replace there is a possibility that certain elements of the CPU program become corrupted. Try using a scanner to reset the CPU program in the ECM to see if that turns on the immobiliser section.

if it is automatic transmission try to start it in neutral, and see what happend, but if it come whit manual transmision, then check the cluth switch, you can by pass the switch and try to start it, if it works then replace the sw, but if not the look to see if there is a starter relay and replace it, most of this come wiht starter relay and they fail.
