Why do you want to reset the shutter count? Are you trying to put one over on a buyer? The shutter count is set to zero at the factory in the camera's firmware. Unless you have access to Nikon's program and the knowledge and equipment to flash it to new ROM (Read Only Memory), you are out of luck.

SOURCE: how to set the monochrome parameter in nikon d50 dslr camera?

Hi there,
There is no monochrome parameter in the D50 as oppose to the D200. You will have to convert using software.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: HOW DO I CHECK SHUTTER

I think you mean shutter speed. If this is the case, there are two spinning dials on the camera. When the camera is set in manual mode, one will opperate the F Stop or appature. The other will operate shutter speed.

The f stop numbers will look like this:

1.0 1.2 1.4 1.7 2 2.4 2.8 3.3 4 4.8 5.6 6.7 8 9.5 11 13 16 19 22

The shutter speeds will look like this:

  • 1/1000 s
  • 1/500 s
  • 1/250 s
  • 1/125 s
  • 1/60 s
  • 1/30 s
  • 1/15 s
  • 1/8 s
  • 1/4 s
  • 1/2 s
  • 1 s

How do i reset shutter count on nikon D610

You can't reset it. It is like your car's odometer. It is factory set to zero on new cameras and it cannot be reset by the user. This is to prevent unscrupulous sellers of used cameras from passing off worn out equipment as newer.

Cobra MD210 flashgun on Nikon D90

Take care. Nikon does warn every user of the modern DSLR's not to use old flash guns. Old camera's were fitted with mechanical switches. In those days nobody cared about 5, 12 or even 100 volt on a flash gun. Modern camera's use electronic switches (transistor) and they only can survive when hooked up to modern flash guns, because these guns block high (above 5 Volt) voltages.

Vivitar RC6 - NIK

You need to set the camera's release mode to one of the available remote modes. As a minimum there should be a remote mode which fires the shutter when you push the button on the remote and a delayed remote mode which gives you two seconds to hide the remote behind your back. Since you neglected to specify the model of your Nikon dSLR I can't tell you exactly how to change the release mode. Refer to your camera's manual, or else reply to this post and specify the model.

Nikon d90 err error

On page 256 of the D-90 user manual it says that an ERR message indicates a camera malfunction and that the malfunction can be cleared by releasing the shutter. I found that the only way I could release the shutter is to turn the camera off and back on. On rare occasions, I have needed to remove and reinstall the battery.

The manual says that if this problem persists or occurs frequently you should contact a Nikon authorized repair center for instructions. I recommend that you contact Nikon tech support at www.nikon.com before you send your camera for repair just in case they may have a solution that won't cost you any money for repairs. If the camera is still under warranty, I would definitely contact Nikon tech support to see what they have to say.

My dslr Nikon D40 encounter a problem

You can try a camera reset, best way is to switch the camera on and then remove the batteries for at least ten minutes or even overnight.

Also see if you get the same problem when using a different lens.

If these don't work, then there's nothing you can do other than to send the camera to a Nikon service centre for a repair estimate; modern SLRs are so complex that repairs are rarely a DIY option any more for all but the simplest and most obvious faults.

Nikon D60x Blurry night pictures

Try switching to Shutter Prority (S) with a fast shutter speed. If the light is not so good, up the iso to 800 to gain that faster shutter speed..

You do not say the lens in use ? if VR, make sure its switched on or use a tripod.

Hope this helps
