Technics receiver shuting down

I have an older reciever that some times will not even turn on? and when it does come on it sounds fine for awile, then it shuts down, and will not come back on, I have taken and tapped alot on the sides to some times get it to come on. It just works when it wants. Any sugestions?? I see there is a power relay or coil inside? Could that be the problem? its about a 6 to 10 year old surround sound receiver.

My receiver keeps shuting down when i turn it on

Denon receiver has a common problem, keep shuting down after power button press, then red light blind. mostly, if none of amplifier output transistors blown, it must be IC7815 or IC7915 mulfunction, find it, replace it. then job down

No tv sound through reciever's speakers. How do I hook up?

TV is not customarily a sound source. It is a video destination. Get your TV-related audio to the receiver from the same places the TV gets it - each source device's audio outputs.

My technics se hd 51 amp seems to have stopped working. I have a barely audible sound when turned up to full vol. Any suggestions...can I d.i.y. this job ? many many thanks.

First, turn down the volume on the reciever. Next make sure that "tape monitor" has not been selected. If that doesn't do it, it will be time for a shop visit...accordianman

Technics SA-DA10 Receiver-no sound

Most of these problems are rooted in a failed power amp module.
I'm working on an older technics unit but with the same troubles.

I hooked two Receivers up in series a Technics SA-DX930 and a different kind I'm not sure wut kind. They worked great for a while, but when they got turned up a little louder they both quit puting out...

you blew your power amp board, you cannot hook them in series due to impediance matching and improper input levels, cheaper to replace reciever than the board
