SOURCE: LG DVD player LG276

I picked up a LG DV276 DVD Player here in Australia but I am from the United States so I own region 1 DVDs. I unlocked my new player by instead 1. Open the tray. 2. Press 0 0 0 0 on the remote and a Menu will appear. 3. Press 0 for region free. 4. Press pause and power off.

I can play everything now, Aussie and US DVDs. Thanks LJ66.

Phillips dvd player recognizes usb flash drive but wont open it

might need to format the flash drive to the phillips dvd player. make sure you back up whats on the flash drive first. plug into dvd and format it. the player should ask you if you want to format flash drive. because when you format the flash drive it will erase all data on it. then reload the data back on the flash drive. try again

USB port on LG DN898 Isn't playing movies from flash drive. TV screen is showing that the USB port is being used but no files are showing and nothing else is happening.

certain files are NOT register from DVD, you must read your instr.manual. The format is not support, you must convert your movies and know format from your DVD accoring in your instru.manual download the instr.manua. go to www.fitness.manualsonline.com or www.retrevo.com

God bless you

LG - DN898 need code and process to make it region free ??

It seems that you need to download a CD and carry out some operations to make this device region free. There's a link on this forum:

http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks/lg-dn898/9462

It allegedly works, but use at your own risk.

LG DN898 -- It plays the DVD, but only in black and white. Is there a fix for this?

The format could be wrong. It might be a PAL,and you have an NTSC machine.Check another DVD that you know plays in colour,to confirm.

Need to unlock a LG 898 dvd player. i would like it region 0

Converting the player to multi-region (or technically region 0) so that it can play DVDs from anywhere in the world is simple. Just download a file, burn it to a CD, insert into the DVD player and pick the region you want from the on screen menu that comes up. Just google for and follow the instructions for the LG DVD-5000 series players, it is the same hack for the DN898 as the LG DVD-5063 5083 5095 5183 5253 and 6053 and the Sanyo HV-DX1E, HV-DX2E and DVW-7100 and quite a few others.

Wish to change DVD LG model DN898 to play all region DVD's

I can confirm that the iso and instructions provided here: http://alge.anart.no/~andersgo/dvd/ allowed me to set a new DN898 to Region 0. I have confirmed that it will play both NTSC in Region 1 and PAL in Region 4 without issue.
