SOURCE: Memory stick duo not showing pictures

It may be that you actually have the pictures stored on the camera's onboard memory and you may have to plug the camera in directly to access the pictures. Or Sony may have a strange way of accessing the files on the device (they have done the same with their MP3 players), so you may be limited to using their software to get the pictures off the camera (or memory stick).

SOURCE: Using USB Plug, Transferred Photos to Computer and Deleted Them.. Says the pictures are still taking up room on memory card..

Try putting the card in the camera and in the menu, select 'FORMAT' this will totally wipe the memory card, ready for use. You will find plenty replacement cables on Ebay, for about £7.00-8.00

My memory card in nokia 5230 are lock and i forgot the password...how can i open my memory card?

Plug the card into your computer - you'll have to have a memory card reader for that (or find a computer that does).

Open the memory card within Windows.

Find the SYSTEM folder.

Inside the SYSTEM folder, look for a file named MMCSTORE.

Open the MMCSTORE file, that will contain your password.

Hello, I am trying to upload my pictures from my camera to my computer. I have never had this problem in the past. My usb cable is plugged into the camera and the computer, but nothing is happening.

Check to see if your camera shows up in "my computer" (may just be called computer or the name of your computer depending on version of Windows and your settings). If it doesn't show up and you have a card reader, remove the memory card and put it in the appropriate port.
Once the card / camera is inserted Windows should recognize it and you should be able to open it in my computer. Pictures are generally in a folder called DCIM, but it can vary by model, so you may need to search around a bit to find them.
To move them to your computer, open a new window to the folder where you want the pictures and drag the pictures you want from the memory card or camera to that folder.
Please leave feedback if this was helpful. Thanks.

Format memory card

Hello :

* Turn on your computer and put the SD card into the card reader slot on the front of your computer or the external card reader attached to a USB port. Wait to see if your operating system automatically opens a window prompting you for information. Click on the option to "Open a folder to view files" if the window pops up.

*Click on the "Start" button if your operating system does not automatically prompt you to open a folder. Choose the "My Computer" option to bring up a new window.

*Right-click on the drive bay for your card reader, and then choose the option that says "Reformat" from the pop-up menu. Click on the option to set the formatting to "FAT16" if you receive a separate pop up window asking you which file system to set the card to.
