I've unplugged the printer, I've turned the power off. I've rebooted my computers, I've unplugged the print server, and still it keeps printing the same thing over and over and over when it was only supposed to print one copy.

If you are using windows go to the start menu. Go to settings, printers and faxes. Open the printer window. Highlight the job and from the menu click on document and then clear. Reboot your printer and you should be good. If you cant clear the job disconnect the printer and try again. Rebooting will help the computer is all else fails.

What does it mean that printer is on "pause"

This means that print jobs sent to the printer will not print untill the printer is unpaused. This setting is used mainly for maintenance purposes.

To unpause a printer
1.) Left click Start in the bottom left hand corner of the screen
2.) Left click Control Panel
3.) Now, double-click "Devices and Printers" or "Printers and Faxes"
4.) In the Window you will see your printer, double-click your printer
5.) This screen will show you active print jobs, to pause or unpause the printer click File then click "Pause printing"

Hope this helps :)

All connections work and icon shows that print is ready but no print

Under your printers and faxes. make sure that the print jobs arent paused. If there is print jobs waiting, try to unpause them if paused. Otherwise remove all the pending print jobs, restart your PC and make sure all the print jobs are cleared. Then give it another go.

Cancel printing/receiving long, unwanted fax?

You should show an Icon in the task bar when printing, right click it.Then click cancel print job.You can also get there by start menu, then click printers and faxes. Then click your printer and cancel print.

Note:you can always do a print preview by clicking the little arrow(in explorer)next to the printer Icon. Then pick what pages you want to print, click apply, then print.Hope this helps?

Printer keeps on feeding paper and prints illegible material -- if I turn off and on again it will continue feeding same --- how can I correct this problem which has occurred before and stops and resumes...

I assume you use windows XP and have you printer connected to you computer directly.
First turn off the printer, then go in your printers manager and pause the printer you have problem with it.
Delete all documents still in the printers queue. When deleted, put back on the printer, unpause the printer and print a test page (with the printer's property page on, you should have a test page button), if they dont delete, restart the computer, they shoul not be ther after rebooting.
If the test page goes well, maybe the document is corruped and need some fixing (some big picture do this problem on printers) check with other documents if they print well.
If it goes wrong again, do all the same thing again but beffore reprint, download and install the last version of the driver for you printer/OS.

My printer will not print. It says printer paused 11 documents waiting. I need to unpause it. I do not know how to do that. I have the hp photosmart c3140 all in one

Go to printer icon in control panel, click to open, right click printer and you will see properties. Click check your ports, Top ports are usually parallel, New printers use CPU ports. Try giving it a USB port if you are using a USB cable. Did your printer print on set up??? If you have the printer disc, delete this printer and go throught the re install, remember, many new HP do not want you to plug in printer till the programs ask.. Good luck
