My lists are in reverse order

After I download songs to my philips 30gb mp3 player, it sorts them by artist and album. Then when I go to play a particular album it puts the tracks in reverse order. Philips help desk says that it will automatically put them in alphabetical order, which it does, just reversed (track 10 plays first then 9 and so on). Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and how I fix it? Thanks

You have to delete those songs off the player, put them in reverse order in Windows Media Player, and then reload them to GoGear. I know it's a pain, but it is the only method that works.

Can a windows media playlist be edited to remove artist and album ID tags ?? And then synchronized to an MP3 player.

Well you CAN remove ID tags , Just drag and drop the mp3s into this tiny program and click 'remove'

Genuine (you can download the source code to see ) and works great. :)

Songbird

Songbird is unauthorized free music download website. Because they arent part of a large music selling company, they are more likely not to have the correct formats set for mp3 players or other music devices. You have to have the right formats to get organization for the songs to match with correct artist and album. Example: If there is a song that has format WMV and the song's album is format WAV,then its gonna confuse your music device, so the music device will put the WMV format song with the wrong WMV format album in its alphabetical order instead of the songs matching album WMV format. So restore your mp3 player and try to use a legalized music download website.

Hdd6330 claims "empty list"...it's not

Run a Repair in the Philips Device Manager (note: the HDD6330 is not compatible with Windows Vista or with Windows Media Player 11 - pluggging the device into a computer with either of these installed will ruin the player, even though it may work initially).

Download the newest version of the Philips Device Manager:
www.usasupport.philips.com - change your country/language as needed
Enter in your exact model #
Click on the link for your exact model #
Click on the Software & Drivers section
Click on "Firmware Upgrade Software"
Install the new Device Manager
Open and run the "Repair" tab

Unable to Edit Files.

Open Windows Media Player 11
Right click on one of the songs that is showing up as unknown artist.
Select "Advanced Tag Editor"
Manually enter the artist information, etc.

To save time, you could also right click the song and select "Find Album" info - it won't find every album, but it will find most of them.

The real bear is that once you have edited the information in Windows Media Player, you have to delete the affected song off of your mp3 player and THEN reload the newly-edited song - or else your changes won't register on the mp3 player itself.

Organization

In the music menu, there is an option to search by Artist or Album as long as you have at least one song on the player that has an ID3 tag that lists the song's artist or album. Those are the only way of organizing the songs on this particular player.
