OK...so my songs are STILL on my iLo but not showing up in my list of songs for the device on Windows Media AND I can't sync songs on iLO any longer. What happened? It used to work fine. I get an error message: Your device requires that this file be converted in order to play on the device. However, the device either does not support playing audio, or Windows Media Player cannot convert the file to an audio format that is supported by the device.

http://www.lenoxx.com/2005/mp3player/mp556.htm if you have a ilo model mp-556 (on the back cover) this page has links to the firmware ... i follow the instruction and got mine working. u might need to use the reformat as well as the upgrade firmware to make your list read the same. reformating will set your storage area back to factory specs. i e delete all your songs on your player

Get media player 10. I have no problem. Also number your songs in the order you want them to play in,or it wont play'em in the order you put'em in player.
SOURCE: ILO does not list all songs.
switch to mtp mode or auto, and make sure the songs are in the correct format
