Only shows loading on face of player

The remote could be broken. What happens when you press play on the DVD player this should start the movie. You can buy a cheap univesal RCA remote if you need to replace the old one.

Check On the Menu Setup for On/Off Remote utility Maybe your Remote signal is off on the TV Set...

Try cleaning the dvd and changing the remote battries.

by a new player i recomend sony,there still the best. dont waste your money on blue ray,they will be obsolete in five years and they are very slow,ie. loading and reading discs, i know i sell them

Don't worry. I unplugged it and left it for a number of minutes and then tried it again. It now works fine.
