Might as well go ahead and replace it because the cost for the exchange one that you need is close to the price of new.

The camera probably wants you to format the card in the camera. Download any pictures first using a cardreader if necessary.

No image is available to view on the lcd screen canon ixus85is

Click the "disp" button. The display of the camera has been turned off in the LCD screen but you can still use the viewfinder, this functionality is just for those who prefer to use the viewfinder instead of the LCD screen.

I have purple streaks and black lines in the lcd of my caonon

That definitely sounds like impending CCD image sensor failure. As the camera is still under warranty (being only two months old), would suggest that you contact Canon at 1-800-OK-CANON to resolve this issue.

Black lcd monitor with lines runing arond it like crazy Any Help

oh. good. its not fault of LCD. your CCD has fault.
according to your problem you wont get photos also recorded in your camera i think.

but if you are able to use a view finder and take photos means its not a costly fault.

else means try this.
connect it to your TV usng AV cord. if you are able to see pictures means there is some fault with the connections inside for LCD from CCD.

LCD monitor

Hello!

Sounds like your backlight may be out, unless you're still able to see a faint image when the LCD is "black"...?

If you can still see a faint image of what your camera is pointed at, I would assume your LCD is bad. In which case you could purchase a new one on darntoothysam.com for ~$60 or have them do it for you for ~$85.
