  • Use the screwdriver to remove the Phillips-head screws from the back panel of the cell phone. You may also need to remove the antenna from its retaining slot and remove it from the cell phone if you can
  • Separate the back panel of the cell phone from the rest of the cell phone's body. Place the cell phone face up and then remove the cell phone's faceplate from the rest of the cell phone. This should leave the LCD screen, keypad and circuit board completely exposed.

M4400 screen install

You will have to remove the plastic strip that is around the lcd screen. Normally there are little bumpers on the plastic strip that you have to remove because they hide screws under them. Remove the bumpers, remove the screws, they gently pry the plastic strip off.

The screen itself is secured on brackets by screws, so just remove the screws from the sides of the lcd screen that secures it to the bracket. Afterwards you can bring the lcd forward as if you are closing it and the screen will fall into your hand. You don't want the screen to fall all the way out too far because there is a cable in the back of it that you will have to remove. On some models you might have to remove the screws from the brackets at the four corners to get the screen out.

Replace with lcd screen with one that is designed for your laptop, otherwise you'll be sorry.

How do i replace the screen

LOL, well you start by removing the rubber bumpers that are on the plastic strip that is around the screen. Once you remove them you will see screws that you will need to take off. One the screws are off you can remove the plastic strip by sliding your fingers inside where the scree meets the plastic strip and pry it alose from the hinges. Afterwards you start removing screws that hold the lcd screen in place. There will be screws on the sides, top and bottom. Once all the screws are removed lift the lcd screen out or you can tilt the lcd forward a little as if you are closing it and the screen will move forward into your hand. All you do next is remove the cable from the back of the lcd screen and remove the cable at the bottom of the lcd screen that goes into the lcd inverter. Now you're ready to put the new screen in.

How do I replace the lcd screen?

Hello,
  1. First remove the sticker in the large circle to reveal a screw. Then remove all three screws you can see. The front cover will now be loose and can be removed.
  2. With the front cover removed you have access to the outer LCD screen. This is attached to the phone by a connector, This connector attaches like a plug and socket. Simply lift it up, away from the phone, to disconnect it.
  3. Remove the screws in front of the phone,
  4. Now lift the metal plate you have just removed the screws from to access the LCD screen. The LCD screen will be loose and can be lifted out.
  5. You should now have the inner LCD screen removed. Reverse the whole procedure for reassembly.
