Router won't connect to internet. Lights R on but no connection.

Pretty sure you need to just open ports. You can do that @ Port forward.com

upgrade the router to the latest version of firmware and reconfigure the same.

Also remove the existing saved connections from ur computer and then readd the new connections after reconfiguration of the router.

occassionally, the wireless router needs to be turned off and on. The are some issues with regards to the stabitlity of these entry level wireless routers. What I do is put a timer at the outlet to reset it every morning. cheers!

If Encryption is turned on in the WRT54G and you don't have the key, you could try resetting the router to default settings and starting over. There is a small hole on the rear of your router with "Reset" over it, just hold the button inside the hole down for at least 10 seconds with the WRT54G powered on and you'll see the lights go out indicating the reset took place, then power down router, modem, and PC, then with all components connected after a minute boot the Modem then Router and then your PC.

Please confirm that this model is indeed a wirlles Modem/ ADSL Router and not just a Wireless Router without the ADSL/ Modem capability??
