I have a Jenn-Air Range model SVD48600P. My cooling fan (not the convect fan) will come on when the unit reaches about 200 degrees after the range is put into the "bake" mode. The cooling fan will remain on during baking and will continue to run for a while after the range is turned off. The cooling fan previously came on only when the unit was in "self clean" mode. After reading through some of the threads at a forum, I saw where one person fixed their range with the downdraft relay board 12001694. What do you think?
I'm sorry but your all wrong. The Jenn-Air model svd48600 is designed for the cooling fan to come on at 220 deg. It keeps the control boards from over heating the components. Just ask a certified Tech and they will tell you the same. I replaced my control board 9 months ago and the new board does not turn on the cooling fan at all in the bake mode. Now, its acting up and I'm going to have to replace it again. I hope Whrilpool has lots of insurance to pay out to people who's oven's burn down their houses.

What youre experiencing could be a result of a faulty oven temperature sensor, a faulty oven control board or relay board. Youre more than welcome to send both the main control board and relay board for evaluation. Fixyourboard will test and repair both as needed for less expensive than buying new, and include a two year warranty.

Boone, by the sound of your post it sounds like the power relay board could be bad. If you had a stuck or shorted keypad, you should be getting a different code. The F2 code means an overheated condition. If it's a double oven it could mean a secondary board failure. The way to go on this would be to ohm out the temp sensor first. Should read about 1100 ohms at room temp. Another way to check it is to swap the bake and broil wires on the power relay board. They will be marked BA and BR. Fire the oven up again and if the bake element comes on then you know that the broil relay is stuck or shorted. Without being there to do the tests, I believe that the problem lies in the power relay board. The part number for the board is 71003431. Priced around 116.00. Jenn-Air usually has a 5 year warranty on these parts. Hope this points you in the right direction. Catriver..post back

Most likely its the EOC (electronic oven control), it needs to be replaced. If you self cleaned the oven a lot the very high heat generated fatigues computers in modern ovens.

This means that the Power to element relay energized during time of day display. You have a problem with the wiring harness and it is shorted or you need to change the power relay board (PRB). If it is a double oven, you need to change second oven board.
