I just bought an L G DP122 DVD player from WalMart--where I purchased my Emerson flat screen TV--and I CANNOT hook up the DVD player to my TV--the DVD will NOT play. My DVD Player has three (3)...

Make sure tv input is set for the slot you plugged the DVD
into.On the tv remote you will find inputs.Just change for the right one.
Most of the time DVD player is working when TV is on channel 2 or 3 .

How do i change the input on my emerson ewf2006 tv without the remote? i dont have cable or sattelite or an antenna, so i wanna use my ps2 game system to watch movies for now til i get cable. cant do that...

There is one way to try. I would have your playstation connected to the A/V of your TV. Power up your game. Now try tuning your TV to channel 3 of course. Now, press channel down on TV a few times...You may get an input. I'm not sure if this will help, but try anyway. If this fails, you need to purchase a universal remote with an input selection. I recommend a Philips remote. TV remote model # SRP 1003/27. This number is located just left of the universal price code. I found this remote as one of the best. on remote should be under video,,or input,,,on front of tv ,,i think input,,,or source,,it will come up 2 video1,,,video2 and so on

How can I input my sylvania 27" into video 1 or video 2 without the remote? The menu does not offer a game option nor a video 1 or video 2 option.

They do not say how to select Video or Game mode without the remote. Try connecting a vcr or game to the input and do the Channel Pre-Select process to see if that will pick up the input as part of the Channel Scan. If it does you will be able to get to Game or Video using the channel up/down buttons. Another option is to get a replacement universal remote that has a code for your TV and will assign a button for Game or Video.

with a code 0520 works fine. I haven't explored all the codes but I can easily change from tv stations to Video 1 and Video 2 merely by pressing the "Input" button on the remote.

I just purchased one of these televisions and it didn't come with a remote. However, a Philips Universal Remote (SRU2103/27)
with a code 0520 works fine. I haven't explored all the codes but I can easily change from tv stations to Video 1 and Video 2 merely by pressing the "Input" button on the remote. Another reply mentioned using a duraband model instead of Emerson and it worked for him.

I usually play video games on the rca 14 inch true flat tv but my remote broke that they gave me so i cant go to input to play video games. Do i need a new remote for that or can you do it a diffrent way...

Unless the set has front panel menu buttons and the on-screen menu allows you to select the source, the answer is "no, you can't switch without the remote". If the original remote is really broken, you may be able to use an RCA-brand universal replacement that has an "input" or "source" button. Unless the original is physically damaged, before you toss it check the battery contacts inside. They sometimes get loose from handling the remote a lot and don't make good connections. Also make sure the new batteries are fresh and facing the right way.
