Hi I have found you a service manual that should tell ya all. http://rapidshare.com/files/48828906/S.G_AS3010_5010.zip The BIOS in most lappy's are usually soldered I expect this to B the same. (I DL the manual to test link ..)

Select your operating system
Check your OS by right clicking on my computer and go to properties
It should be up the top e.g. Microsoft XP Professional
You might be selecting Vista 32 instead of 64
