SOURCE: Miela fridge freezer freezes food in the fridge

Most likely reason is fridge evaporator sensor faulty. The sensor is screwed to the back wall of the fridge behind bracket next to light and has a green band near the end . The sensor come as a repair kit (part no. 7323301). Just follow instructions in the packet. It is quite straight forward

SOURCE: Candy Fridge - The freezer part is not cold enough, fridge ok!

A couple of things to check-
- Is the condensor cooling fan running? This will be located to push air through the external cooling coils, wherever they are located.
- Does the auto-defrost timer work? It may have failed and stayed in a position that has left the heating elements (for defrosting) turned on.
- Does it seem to be running way too long and not turning off as it once did? This could indicate either a loss of coolant (would need recharge and leak detection) or the compressor is reaching its end of life. If the latter is the problem, expect a cost of $200-$400 US.

SOURCE: bosch frost free fridge freezer not freezing ice cream/pops at all and meat not totally frozen

Sounds like a defrost problem. Check to see if there is any frost buildup in the back wall of the freezer. If so, it is not defrosting as it should.

  • possible causes:
  1. bad defrost timer/board
  2. bad defrost heater (in freezer)
  3. bad thermo switch in freezer
If you don’t know what these are then unplug the machine and let the ice melt in the freezer overnight with the door open. Then try it the next day, if is cooling fine then you need to have a service person replace one of the above items. If it still has a problem then it might be the compressor and you should probably replace the machine.

Freezer will not freeze ice ceam

Before you go any further it is important that you check for freezer temps. Yes, you have frozen items but remember that water freezes at 32 degrees and many items will get hard at that temp. And also remember that the lower the temp the longer frozen items will keep.

But ice cream needs proper freezer temps close to zero degrees. Use a digital thermostat and check for your freezer temp - bet it it is no where near zero. I had the same problem and attributed it to the fact that I was not using a name brand ice cream!!!! I was wrong ! LOL.

Please check the timer the thermostat and the heater for the auto defrosting to work. Switch off the fridge and after all the frost has gone off switch on to see if the sooling returns . If so you can be sure that the timerr does not work and so reduces cooling on frosting. If there is still no cooling then you will need to check onthe compressor and the gas pressure. Get help to confirm and take an estimate before attempting, get an warranty assurance for work. Hope you try out and see first.Good day

Hi, this problem is going to be with the running thermostat. (cold Control). It has gone bad and stays open which in turn will keep the compressor running continually and will cause the fridge to get colder and freeze food. It can normally be located in the control panel inside the fridge (it is the control that has wires, the other is the damper). Locate the thermostat and replace it. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to comment again. Good Luck!! Mike

Whirlpool Side by Side: Freezer freezes refrig doesn't cool.

check for a blockage. There is only one cooling section, divided by airflow for freezer / fridge.
Perhaps something sticky is in the vents, or the freezer section has poor airflow, resulting in ice formation.
Unplug the unit for several hours, clean out vents, and make sure freezer section has good airflow from the vents.
