Washing machine won't fill. i filled it by hand with water, it won't agitate either, only spins.

Check the water level switch and the plastic tubing to the switch.
Sometimes soap scum stops up the plastic hose and the water level switch does not close to send power to the timer.
If the plastic hose is good and the water level fills and stops replace the water level switch.

If the washer is not filling with water then the water inlet valve needs to be checked.The water inlet valve is also called water fill valve.If the fill valve is faulty then it will not the water to get filled in the machine. (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If they're clean, you probably have a defective water-inlet valve. If so, you should completely replace the valve. You can get required parts from www.repairclinic.com

sound like the agitator motor went out the way to fix this is to take the agitator out and replace it along with the motor
