Some buttons don't function, and the ones that do perform a function that's assigned to a different button. example: the rewind button turns the handicam function off-on

Can't rewind, can't play....recording is fine, but can't rewind the tape...

SOURCE: Sony Handycam CCD-TRV37 8mm Analog... 2 Problems, maybe more unknown at this time:

This does require disassembly to remedy the problem. There are various possible fixes. The most prevelant I have seen is cold solder connections of the board connector for the fpc cable from the top operation switch block ass'y. All you need is someone who can handle this task, like a professional. The controls that you are experiencing problems with are all linked with one cable and connector. One bad solder joint can cause serveral operation faults. Good Luck, magic seadog

Magnavox tv lost pause, rewind buttonstv problems

This simply sounds like a "remote address" problem, in other words--the remote is not assigned to the set. If this is for a DVD or VCR, you might have to assign that function before they work--by pressing the "dvd" or "vcr" button before they work.

What function do the keys along the top of the KG 0570 keyboard perform?

If you are talking about the special function keys, their function is determined by the program you are using. Normally, you won't use them. The exception is the F1 key which is universally used for "help."

You state to hold the fn, and hit the power button.....OK, whats the ( fn ) key ?

The Fn key is a key found usually on the keyboards of portable computers (laptops, netbooks etc) and sometimes on desktop type keyboards.

It is a key usually marked with a blue coloured "Fn" and is located somewhere on the bottom left row of keys.

The Fn key is used in combination with other keys that have (usually) blue letters or icons on them to activate the special functions (Fn) on these keys.

For example, on the laptop I'm writing this on; If I press F5 the computer would perform the action my software has normally assigned to F5. If however I press the Fn button and F5, the computers internal function for decreasing screen brightness is invoked.

Different computer makes have different assignment to their keyboard Fn so you can't generally say press Fn+F5 to decrease screen brightness, it might be assigned to something else, volume or sleep-mode or even nothing. The "blue" text or icon will give an indication of what it will do.

Hope this helps explain the Fn key ;)

The remote that came with your Verizon FIOS can be programmed to control the sound on your TV. There are four different remotes can come with Verizon FIOS, and there are three different procedures to program them. I will give you all three to print out try to fix your remote control problem.

Does your remote look like either of these two?

If so you have a Philips universal remote. Here are the steps to find the code that will control the sound on your TV:

1) Turn on the device you want to program into your remote, for example if you are programming your remote to control your TV, then turn on the TV.

2) Press and hold the device button for the device you turned on in step 1 (DVD, AUX, TV, STB) and press OK. Release both buttons. The mode buttons blink twice.

3) Press 922.

4) Point the remote control toward the device you are setting up and press the upper part of the Play button.

5) Press the Fast Forward button. If the device you are setting up does not turn off, keep pressing the Fast Forward button until the device powers off. (You can use the Rewind button to go back, if necessary.)

6) When the device powers off then you've found the correct code for that device. Press OK to assign the code in your remote control.

Note:
There are over 200 possible combinations for TV and DVD codes. The most common codes are tried first but you may still need to press the Fast Forward or Rewind buttons over 200 times to find the correct code for your device.

If you reach the end of the list of codes, the entire remote flashes twice and returns to normal operation. You can exit programming at any time by pressing the Exit button.
