Sansa e270 synchronizing problem

It might be a device certificate error..what you will need to do is to format the device..Keep in mind that formatting the device will delete all the songs you have in there..to format click menu, settings and then click on format..if that doesnt work you will have to update the firmware on the device...Please follow the link below to get the firmware

'Problem obtaining the devices certificate'

the songs on the player have expired licenses - you have to renew your music service sub and try reloading them

Certificates

Make sure you are connected to the internet, and make sure that your music service subscription is up to date. If both of these conditions hold, and you still get the message, then delete the songs off the player, and reload them after converting them to Mp3 format - the WMA format is the only one that has a device certificate problem.

The certificate must be obtained by syncing the device to the music service from which you obtained the songs.

E200 problem

Where is the music coming from? If you have lots of Bad Tracks errors, the music is usually encoded incorrectly and the device does not know how to decipher it. If the device still connects to the Computer, try to format it. My Computer, Right click on Device name (e200) and select format. I would also update the firmware. It is available from the SanDisk website. http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1376 Best of Luck.

Device Certificate

Here is the message I was getting; "Windows Media Player cannot synchronize or burn the protected file because the Player cannot verify that the license is valid. A problem occured while contacting the Internet to determine the current date and time." I looked at my device, Sansa e260, and the time was off by 1 hr. and 10 min. I corrected the time on the device and it worked fine after that......
