Cannot get scanner programed

Most radio scanners these days have software that you can program from your PC etc, You will also need a cable, if not supplied. Check at the Uniden website. However you should be able to program it manually. Again the instructions that came with it? should tell you how.
Normally a scanner can be programed to scan between two frequencies ie 144 to 146 for the 2mtr amateur band etc
or you can program channels.

How do i program the bc350a scanner

Your scanner does not have a standard keyboard programming function. Rather you must "capture" a frequency in SCAN or SEARCH mode, and then transfer (program) it into the scanner's PRIVATE bank. For detailed instructions on doing this, you can download/print the scanner's operating manual here:

I have pro 135 from radio shack. How do I reset it and keep the channels that are programed in it?

The RESET function will clear everything that you have programmed into the scanner and restore original factory settings. You can, however, restore the 150 pre-programmed frequencies after a RESET.

To RESET:
- Power the scanner OFF.
- Hold down the 2, 9, and PSE keys and power the scanner ON.
- CLEAr appears on the display as the scanner resets.
- Do not power the scanner OFF until CLEAr disappears from the display.

To restore the original 150 pre-programmed frequencies:
- Turn the scanner power OFF.
- Hold down the 3 and ENT/PGM keys and power the scanner ON.

I am trying to scan a document on the C7200. Last time I went somewhere on my computer, but can't find.

Try Control Panel, Printers and other hardware, Scanners and cameras..............or, your scanner program such as Scansoft or some other program that came with the computer or is available at the Scanner company website..........or, Scanner and camera wizard program in Accessories........or, free programs you can download like Open Office (a great program) or Picasa.

Uniden bearcat scanner

The scanner was probably turned off and it forgot what frequencies were programed into it. Older scanners have a problem with retaining their memory when they are shut off. Most of the older scanners have a memory back-up battery that helps the scanner retain its memory. Check and see if this battery is still good. As for your frequencies, you'll have to reprogram the scanner. To put it in technical terms, some older scanners have what is called RAM (Regency Alterable Memory) and ROM (Regency Organized Memory), when you turn off you scanner, this memory is erased, along with your programmed channels. Be sure not to turn off your scanner unless you're willing to reprogram the scanner.
