SOURCE: Laars Lt heater will not start- pressure switch light

it is time to check your filter make sure is not dirty and if your filter is clean and still doing this then the problem can be with one of the safety sensors they do have 2 hight limit switch located in the heater heather they re round with two wires on each one turn power off to heater and get a voltemer reader and check the hight limits for continuty they should read zero on your metter it can be your temp sensor heaters are so complicated that it is always good to have a pool tech service it I was a pool tech in california but now I am located in georgia

SOURCE: hi limit switch code

mine were corroded, but passed a continuity test. removing the corrosion opened a hole in one of the cases. $30/ea to replace (parts only). then i read how the brass 'screw' they contact with are prone to corrosion (salt pool), not listed in the parts manual, but are available as part# R0383200 (another $6/ea). not a happy jandy/laars/teledyne owner.

SOURCE: Where is the 3a fuse on a Laars lx heater?

I believe this fuse is on the top right of the board under the panel. I could be wrong but two screws on the bottom of the control will let you pull it out and see. But I'm suren it is on the circut board. good luck and let me know.

SOURCE: my laars lx pool heater is blinking LOW PRESSURE.

The heater needs good water flow or it will overheat. You probally have a full basket in your pump or your filter is dirty.

EXT SW1-FUSABLE LINK/VENT SWITCH OPEN ON JANDY POOL HEATER

Open up the front panel on the heater you will see 2 white wires going to the thermal fuse, pull both leads off the thermal fuse ,take a jumper wire and connect it between the two wires . Does the fan come on ? if so remove the jumper, if not put the leads back on the thermal fuse and remove the thermostat panel on the top of the heater on the right side there will be 2 screws on the bottom of the panel remove them and pull the panel up and out of the way as much as possible look inside to top right in about the middle of the heater you will see 2 white wires going to a switch (overheat switch) with a red button in the middle, push on that button and reset it, if the fan still does not come on take your jumper wire and put it between the 2 white wires on the overheat switch does the fan come on? If it does great but don't leave the jumper in , remove it and put in a new overheat switch ,but that only fixes the switch because there is still a problem of why that happened. First thing is to check the heat exchanger for soot build up or a blocked exhaust fan and check your gas pressure my guess is it is low. But do not run that heater with any bypass jumpers in or your asking for a fire .
