Dvd created inn sonic mydvd will only play once

I created a movie using photos and music in windows moviemaker, saved as a movie file and burned it onto DVD - R disks in sonic MYdvd. I burned 3, and all three will play fine the first time, but will freeze and skip in different dvd players every time after the first. So they are only completely viewable the first airing. I was wondering if it is the program, or the media? I have made other movies in the past the same way with no problems.

It most likely has something to do with the way set top players store certain things in memory. have you ever noticed that if you pop a dvd out while watching then put it right back it, that it will resume? try putting another dvd in then putting the picture dvd in and see what happens.

I have prepared a home movie on Windows Movie Maker and when I copied it to a DVD it would not play on a dvd player can anyone tell me what I did wrong please thanks joe

The reason why the DVD disk you created may not contain the file format the DVD player recognizes. On a normal DVD disk there are two folders - AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders. The video files are located in the VIDEO_TS folder. This video folder contains the VTS_xxx.vob video files (the video files has a .vob extension).
The video file you created may have a avi or wmv or mov or mpg extension, whilst these video files can be played on a computer but they won't play on a DVD player.
Check the movie software you are using and make sure it creates the correct file format for a DVD player.

Created a DVD from my FS100, unable to get sound when playing it on my home DVD player however have sound on Laptop using WinDVD. Do I need to change format of DVD and if so to what file type ? thanks much

It's the format of the movie clip (.mod). The files need to be converted to .mpg in order to get your sound working with WMC or other video player. Google for a .mod file converter and you'll find several out there.

Windows movie maker will not burn to DVD. Says to

As you may be aware, Movie Maker doesn't natively burn DVDs. Or Video CDs (VCDs), which are playable by any DVD Players, but are of significantly lower quality than DVD.
What do you need to into DVD? How about MyDVD is the easiest and direct route, requiring little or no format conversion.

You need to have DVD burning software. There are many out there, each with their own pros and cons. I use MyDVD 10 Premier from Sonic. It's and easy program that lets you create movies with all the bells & whistles then burn your movie easily to DVD. No matter what software you choose, you need good DVD burning software to get what you want. Hope that helps. Let me know if you need anymore help. How can i change the format that my "magix Photostory CD & DVD" program burns my pictures/music to a DVD that WILL play on a home DVD player and not just a computer? I have a Windows XP

There are three ways to create a Video CD (VCD) that contains your photo stories:
You can obtain Microsoft Plus! Digital Media Edition and view the Photo Story 3-authored WMV file in Photo Story 2 by going to Play your story or create a video CD of your story and then create a VCD.using the Photo Story 2 Video CD-burning feature.
• You can obtain Microsoft Digital Image Suite 10 or above and view the Photo Story 3-authored WMV file in the Photo Story that comes with the Digital Image Library and save and burn to VCD.
• You can obtain VCD-authoring products that work with Photo Story files, such as MyDVD by Sonic Solutions or InstantCD\DVD by Pinnacle Systems. You can use these software to convert the Windows Media video (WMV) files into files that can be copied to a DVD and played in a DVD player.
Note: VCD and DVD-authoring software is not included with Photo Story 3.
