Comcast ipad wifi problem

I changed from Fios to Xfinity today at home, I can connect my Mac, MacbookPro, and Iphones to WiFi. My Ipad will not connect. It worked with the Fios WiFi that morning, It works at Starbucks and at work. I have tried to reset Ipad, reset router, disconnect reconnect, renew lease on Ipad nothing works to get Ipad connected. It must be something about the new gateway router that is not letting Ipad connect. What di I do? Is there a setting I am not aware of?

I'm sure you've done this but try turning off wifi on iPad and then turning back on. Does your wifi name show?

SOURCE: issues with my Ipad wifi, IPAD wifi not working

According to Apple, the iPad might not automatically rejoin known WiFi networks using third-party routers that are dual-band capable (802.11 b/g and 802.11 n) when each band’s network uses the same name or use different security settings.
Apple’s recommendation? Try creating separate network names for each separate band’s network (ie: add a G to the end of the name of the 802.11 b/g band) and making sure both bands’ networks use the same security settings.

SOURCE: I had bought an ipad

there were some random wifi issues with ipads early on but the most recent updates through itunes have corrected those. So best thing would be to connect to your computer and make sure its updated. if that doesn't work, may be a range issue, they dont have the longest reception.

I just bought a ipad today and cannot get it to get on to safari it is not connected to the internet

The information included with your question says that you have a 3G iPad, but it does not indicate that you have WiFi. If you have WiFi, touch the Settings app and, if WiFi appears, make sure that you are logged into a local WiFi network. If you have a 3G-only iPad, you must arrange for 3G service with your current, or another, phone provider. 3G service is considerably slower, and more expensive, than WiFi.

If my computer does not have internet can i still connect to netflix

Can your computer connect to the internet? If it can, it just means that you have a wired internet connection and not a wifi connection on the computer, which means your iPad is just connected to your home network via wifi. If your computer can't access the internet or you know you don't have internet service at home, then you either have cellular service (3G/4G) or your iPad is connected to some other available WiFi from someone else's service.

Wifi not working in house

How is your WiFi configured at home?. Do you have MAC filtering for instance set up? (i.e. filtering to only let specific machines use the WiFi based on their hardware addresses)

Ehome router

D-Link ehome routers are okay for laptops, which have a more robust transmitter, and better antenna for connecting to wifi. iPhones and iPads aren't that lucky. When you get close to the router, I assume they work good. Best bet is to return it and get a stronger router, Even from D-Link, a company whose products are outstanding. You could also get a signal booster, and connect it in the ares where you are having intermittent connectivity.

Can't connect mini iPad to my wifi my other iPad is connected

Always a good idea to shut down and then turn back on (hold down both home button and power button until it turns all the way off. Wait a couple seconds, then press the power button to turn back on)

Try wireless again.

If nothing, then

Obviously check and make sure wifi is on under settings.

If still nothing,

Try resetting your network connections:
Settings > General, then tap Reset > Reset Network Settings

If you can't see any wifi networks at all, you might have a bad wifi card in the iPad. Bring back to an apple store.

Can't jailbreak ipad1 I don't have a computer iPad is updated with os 501

If you don't have a computer, it is unable to jailbreak your iPad. So try borrow one PC or Mac from your friends. And then if you prefer a simple yet fast solution to jailbreak your iOS device. You can take a try of AutomaticiPhoneUnlockers, it can help jailbreak or unlock as many iPad, iPhones, iPod Touches as you like. Hope this helps! Regards.
