I have configuration setting from MTN Nigeria in my mail box, but did not know how to enter the settings on my HTC S740. kindly advice me on what to do

Download NoData.cab from here, install it onto your HTC Touch HD and from there you can toggle between which connections to enabledisable. sorted!

Just insert your SIM and within few minutes you'll get settings as HTC devices have built in program for conection set up.
Or try this : Start-Settings-Connections-Conection Setup. It will retrieve settings automatically.

Go to the HTC's Start menu > Settings > Connections tab > Connections icon. You can add it in through there, but you need the correct settings from Airtel first.
