You have to "Finalize" the disc before it will play on other units. Go to Disc Menu, Second choice listed(not in front of it right now) Selections to right will offer disc Finalize. Say YES.

I have the Samsung dvd-vr 357. I have had a couple problems with it but I called samsung and they walked me through fixing it each time. I don't know if you have tried this or not but that is my suggestion. The last problem I had was copying from vcr to dvd. I got audio but no video. Problem was it was on dvd when i started it, it should have been on vrc. It should be set on whichever one you are recording from. Hope this helps someone.
Make sure you have finalised the disk, otherwise it won't play back on other players. Also there are two standards that you can use to record onto disks, video mode or VR mode. Video mode was the original standard but it wouldn't let you edit or add anything to the recording afterwards but it is more compatible with other players. VR mode allows you to edit the recording but is less compatible for playback on other players.
Ok I have been here before.
The problem is your DVD burner in your DVD player unit may not be burning the disk in a format recognized by the Computer, or the laser may not have burned the disk to the set standard, and while it can play on that DVD player when you move it to a nother player it will not play. Well what we can do is Test the reverse first. Burn a DVD on your computer and try to play it on your DVD player and on the other TV. Then what I want you to do is to clean the lens of the player and try to burn a disk and play it on your computer. Let me know how this truns out.
