My dell inspiron n4010 often hangs recently.. What may be the problem, Is it due to over heated or fan problem.....even if i use cooling pad, i face this..Some suggested that it may be due to wifi connection.. so they advice to go for LAN... kindly help...
I suggest you open the laptop, and clean it out first. THEN go on with the diagnoses.
Dell Support > Inspiron n4010 Notebook PC > Service Manual,

1) FIRST remove all power. Remove the AC adapter (Charger) and Battery.
2) FOLLOW Anti-Static Precautions.
Anti-Static Precautions:
Your body carries Static electricity. Static WILL fry out (Short Circuit), the delicate hardware components on a computer.
Relieve your body of Static.
You should use an ESD wrist strap, and connect it's alligator clip to a good ground source.
This is an example of an ESD wrist strap,

This pictorial guide for disassembly of an Inspiron n5010, should help also.

The screws, and cables, etc., are in a different place, but disassembly is still the same.
Use a can, or two, of compressed air for computers.
Also you may wish to use Q-tips, and a soft small brush.
(Makeup brush? )
DO NOT use a vacuum!!!!
A vacuum creates Static electricity.
For additional questions please post in a Comment.

Tried downloading, and INSTALLING the WI-Fi driver? (Many download, but fail to realize it has to be INSTALLED also)
Yes?
Then suggest the Wi-FI module in the laptop is bad, or possibly has loose connections.

First
check that cooling fan of dell laptop is working properly or something
is wrong. If you get anything wrong, then first clean the fan &
check again. If it is still not working so you need to replace your
cooling fan with new one.
If your hard drive faces any issue, so you need to fix it before replacement of laptop cooling fan. You can
also run complete disk scan program to check & fix the errors &
bad sector. Also defragment your hard disk so that every necessary file
can be easily access at booting time.
So these are very solution if your dell laptop is facing hang/freeze problem.

These fan are meant to run constantly at a low power and on high when using a lot of processing power (like playing a game or HD movie).
I would boot into Dell diagnostic and make sure the high and low settings of the fan aqre working properly it may be that the fan is on high all the time when it should be in low mode.
Dell Diag.
Press F12 at boot
Select Dell Diagnostics
Go through the basic diagnostic ~5 minutes
After basic diag the advanced diagnostic will start
Go through the menu and select the Fan test
