SOURCE: Water Leak at vent area in door...
On this model the vent is open and shut by a wax motor. The vent should be closed tight during the entire wash cycle and the first 6 minutes of the drying cycle. Check the operation, make sure there is not a bunch of gunk restricting it. If you are handy with a meter check the resistance of the motor. It should read approx. 2100ohms. Another reason for leaking at the base is oversudzing. Also check the upper spray arm for cracks or splits shooting water into the vent area. Catriver...post back.

Yes solved by pulling door apart. There is a small drain tube from the bottom of the ventilation vent, which had some blockage.
Cleared it put door back together and now works just like new.

SOURCE: Miele G868 dishwasher - leaks from front panel air vent
Hi all,
I have had the same problem. Here is what I've done. Take the door apart (a whole bunch of screws on the side of the door). The front panel will come off and you will see a rubber tube. Take it off and blow it out. Then take the blower out (you need to unscrew the inside of the blower). Take apart the blower and clean it out.
Good luck.

Door gasket or sealOver time, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to seal properly. You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them if they've begun to leak.
Hi
Dishwashers use Bi-Metal strip to allow the dispenser to open/close. This strip when heat up causes the soap door spring to open up the dispenser. If this strip is not heated doesn't allow the door to open. The strip may not be getting 120V or maybe disconnected. Newer (plastic liner) dishwashers use a wax motor to open the soap dispenser. The plunger inside the wax motor slowly moves and pushes the plunger and door open. And, if this wax motor doesn't receive 120 volts, then it'll not work. Please check the voltage to the wax motor/Bi-metal strip; also inspect the connections to these.
Hope this helps...
