High Water Level ErrorSamsung DMT300

My Samsung DMT300 dishwasher shows "High Water Level" error. It takes water, starts spraying, leaks below the door and shuts down with above mentioned error code. Any idea how to fix? Thanks, Z.

The parts mentioned, 8058475/SWITCH, PRESSURE and 8058500/HOSE are Asko parts. Samsung should have their own equivalent parts, but the Asko parts should work as well... I think the Samsung parts would be less expensive?

SOURCE: Asko dishwasher 1475 indicates high water level

The "High Water Level" in the machine can be triggered not only by the Styrofoam operated switch in the safety tray under the machine's tub, but also by the Overfill Pressure Switch pictured here

My previous post describes the erratic behavior this switch can cause. It seemed almost at random, the "High Water Level" condition would occur in whatever cycle I used.

0643b5b.jpg

It is easily located at the end of a small rubber hose visible when the kick panel and service covers are removed. Look just above where the electrical power terminal block is. The switch is held in place by the clip protruding from the top (as shown in the picture above). The sides of the clip need to be pressed towards the center to release the switch. I simply rotated the switch until the clip was turned to the longer side of the rectangular hole it clips in to. It then just fell out.

This pressure switch triggers the drain pump when too much water enters the machine, but it can malfunction and will keep the drain pump running "forever" until you turn off the breaker. Unfortunately, until the problem is rectified, the dishwasher "remembers" what it was doing when you disconnected the power and when you re apply power, the drain pump will again start draining your already empty dishwasher.

I pulled the connectors attached to the spade terminals on the switch back a bit and then forward as far as they would go ensuring all the wires had continuity from the terminal to the opposite end of the wire it was attached to. When I re applied the power, the empty dry dishwasher attempted to start up where it left off in the cycle it was on, but the "High Water Level" conditioned cleared. Pressing and holding the single button opposite the light left on canceled the cycle and the machine went into standby as it should.

I hope this helps someone else. Until I "Googled" the part number printed on the switch, I didn't know what triggered the "overfill" or "High Water Level" condition.

Part number on the part was 8058475. I also found out the small hose attached is part number 8058500. The small hose is not as readily available as the pressure switch, so extra care should be used when handling it.

Since water doesn't drain out ,it could be a clogged in the drain line. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. You should remove this line and clear it form any debris in the hose or the hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again. Good luck!

SOURCE: Dishwasher leaks water

hi there,
dishwasher leaking might be due to either of these causes, check these:

Main tub seal
Note… If the main motor of your dishwasher is mounted vertically, beneath the center bottom
of the dishwasher, the following instructions probably apply to you.
But if your motor is mounted horizontally, the pump isn't serviceable--you need to replace the
entire pump and motor assembly.

The main tub seal is beneath the drain impeller. It prevents the water in the dishwasher from
leaking out near the shaft of the motor. To get to the seal, which is inside the dishwasher,
remove the:

* Lower rack
*Spray arm
* Spray arm support
* Wash/drain impellers

Then try the seal out of its housing and replace it.

Door gasket or seal
Over time, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to seal properly.
You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them if they've begun to leak.

Water-inlet valve
The water-inlet valve, itself, seldom leaks. But, the water-supply line from the house and the
rubber tube leading from the valve to the inside of the dishwasher may leak. Tighten
or repair/replace these as necessary.

The water-inlet valve could mechanically stick open. When that happens, the water continues
to flow into the dishwasher, which then floods your kitchen. Turn off the water supply to the
dishwasher, and replace the valve.

Hoses
Behind the lower access panel on your dishwasher are several rubber or plastic hoses. If the
leak appears at a connection, try a new clamp. If that doesn't work, replace the hose.

SOURCE: kenmore dishwasher model # 665.15522000 leaking badly

Hi, Make sure the jets in the spray arm ore not plugged at all. Check the black bellows on top the lower spray arm and see if it has a split in it. Let me know if these help or if I can assist you further.

Hi. The above machine stops mid cycle and drain/fill light is on, also error code F3E, have cleaned both hot and cold water inlet filters, also checked drain pump and drain line, all ok. Machine drains with no issues and fills with hot water, runs for a while then shuts down.
Any ideas?

An LE error code means problems with the motor. It can either be load issues, excessive suds, thermal overload protection, or a new installation. To solve this motor problem, you must first uncover the underlying cause.

Have over lever water error on samsung dishwasher

Your: Have over lever water error Probably means over level? In other words water is too high I would guess. Sounds like you have a bad water level sensor, or connections from or to and from or to the "brain" I'd unplug to reset the "brain". but it that doesn't help it's probably service tec time. Ask to estimate the price.

I have a samsung dmt300 dishwasher that is displaying a low-level water error and was wondering if there is anything i can do myself before calling a technician

I would remove and examine the wash arms to see if any of the holes are plugged with food or mineral deposits. Clear any food with a paper clip. If you have mineral deposits, remove the deposits with Lime Away or CLR cleaner. Hope this helps you.

My lg shows a error of E1

Hi lylelamont,

The E1 you are seeing means Water Level in Drum lowering, it is usually a leak on the Circulation Pump, which is responsible for pushing the water to the Spray arms.

It will have to be replaced, as it is a common spare that has to be replaced on L.G Dishwashers (lifetime expectancy: 12 - 18 Months) - Not very expensive.
Part Number: 5859DD9001A or 5859ED1001A (Depending which one is in stock)

See below a image of what a Circulation Pump looks like:

Water occasional show up on floor

Hi

Some leaking around-under-from the door on dishwashers can be traced back to a split in the spray arm. If the lower spray arm develops a split in it, the spray arm can turn too fast, and shoot water directly at things that it is not suppose to spray water at....sprays water at the door vents or edges and can create water leaks.

Please do rate the solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
