37LC7D, screen blank, cannot power off manually or w/remote

Screen is blank, we couldn't even turn the TV off with remote, or manually with side power button. We had to unplug the TV, totally blank screen, no sound, cannot change the channel at all. It's black screen. TV is less then a year old.

I have a broken screen I would buy a broken TV with a good screen. if anyone have a LG 37LC7D or other type that I can use, just drop me a line at [email protected]

Something has blown.. possibly a resistor, diode or ??? on one or more of the boards. You should take the TV to a service Agent who should be able to resolve the problem.

LG 37LC7D HDTV just went blank. Screen blacked out and green light is on but no response to input change, remote, volume, or channel change. I've unplugged it for several minutes in an effort to reboot...

My lg 37lc7d is having the same problem. My backlight is on but no display. Also the standby light blinks several times then the screen goes on but it's just all black. No a/v

It sounds like a problem in the high voltage circuit. Had a similar TV set which had the same problem. When there's power leaking from the high voltage circuit, these TV's will tend to cycle on and off. Voltage leaks are mostly caused by accumulated dust for the most part.

37'' LG lcd tv, no power

I just want to clear things here.
The stand by light will remain on whenever the tv set is turned on by a button on the side of the tv.

Then use your remote to turn on the tv, but wait as it can take 10secs before you get a picture.

You most definately have bad capacitors in the power supply. try and get it repaired as soon as possible, not an expensive repair that iv'e seen.

Hi , I have the same problem with my LT-42X688,so i called the service of my extended warranty provider . the TV technician just left and told me the motherboard is the problem. he said its the third one this week he has seen with the same symptoms. he ordered the motherboard and i've got to wait 5 to 7 work days before the part will be in . I will keep you posted when the guy will return.

I heard that Best Buy is still selling these models despite this known problem- I am trying to have mione fixed but was told the replacement part is on back order until DECEMBER!
