Is it possible to listen to cd's on my philips soundmachine AZ102 C through earphones? I do not know what the 'line in' connection hole is at the back of the machine. I have lost the instruction manual. Do I need to buy special earphones.? I have tried several earphone sets but no sound comes through them. Maybe thats not what the 'line in' connection is for.Thank you. Louise
The line in jack is for an audio "input" from another device say a tape recorder or say audio from maybe a short wave radio type of device.
This is strictly for feeding a audio signal into this device. To feed maybe audio "from this" AZ102 C you would then use the "line out" jack.
Hope this helps.

THE RIGHT SPEAKER OF YOUR EARPHONE HAVE TO BE CHANGED
SOURCE: Philips Pet706 portable dvd will no longer play sound without earphones
try connecting it to small external multimedia speakers (usually played with computers) that come with a small jack simmilar to that on earphones.

My question was "what is the 'line in' connection hole at the back of the machine, is it for earphones? There were no earphones supplied with the soundmachine and I have lost the instruction manual.
