Cuisinart Coffe Maker has no power

My Cuisinart DCC-1150 is only 2 months old and has worked fine until today. The clean light was on this morning and I made a pot of coffee. After having coffee, I emptied coffee maker and filled reservoir with 1/3 vinegar and 2/3 water to clean it. Nothing happens, no clock, no light, no nothing. My outlet is fine, because other items work in it. Any suggestions? and if not, do I need to return to where I purchased it or return to Cuisinart? My Cuisinart® Coffee on Demand stopped working, no power light, no clock, no brewing. I have had it for about 11 months. I bought it at Mervyns and now they are going out of business. The warranty is for 3 years. Anyone know what can be done to fix it or replace it?

The cuisinart quit working after 3 yrs. No power, no clock, no nothing!  I tried to disassemble it, but it takes a special tool. The first time this happened, I unplugged it and plugged it into another receptacle and it worked, but now it's dead.

Cuisinart replaced the coffee maker. It was still under the 3 year warranty so Cuisinart told me to take it back to one of the stores that sells Cuisinart coffee makers because the store I bought it at was going out of business.

SOURCE: Cuisinart DCC-1150 series coffee pot how to clean reservoir

Hello dhubert14,
This is a really common problem with the cuisinarts. I am most familiar with the DCC-1200, but you may be able to solve the problem. This an indication that something is plugged up. Open the top of the unit and in one of the corners you should find a filter stick or column that is removable. Pull it out and open it up to clean out the clogged up carbon filter in there. (You can later buy a new filter on Amazon.) Clean out the debris from the bottom of the cavity. Replace the stick into the cavity once cleaned. Now it's time to run through a solution of 2 parts water and 1 part vinegar. Do this once or twice with fresh solutions, then with a pot of fresh water. When the filter stick is plugged up the sensor says its time to clean it, but most people don't know about this fix. I hope this is really helpful to you, dhubert14. Positive feedback is appreciated. Good luck. NormanZ

Need to clean cuisinart 12 cup coffee on demand coffe pot. How do I clean?

Do you have the DCC-2000?

To delime a multi-cup coffee maker, mix white vinegar with water (1/3 vinegar and 2/3 water) and fill the water reservoir completely. Then turn the coffee maker on. Wait until the unit completes the "brewing" cycle and beeps 5 times. Turn off the coffee maker. Discard the liquid after the cycle. Then fill the reservoir with clean water and turn on again. When this cycle completes, again discard the liquid. Repeat the water rinse if you notice an odd taste to the coffee afterwards. (If the coffee maker still has deposits, repeat the vinegar cleaning cycle and rinse cycles.) There are commercial deliming products, mix them with water following the package directions.

The manual for the DCC-2000 is available as a link here: http://www.cuisinart.com/products/coffee_bar/dcc-2000.html . The direct link to the manual is http://www.cuisinart.com/share/pdf/manuals/dcc-2000.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Need instruction booklet for DCC-1200BWFR Cuisinart coffe maker?

The manual is available here:
http://www.cuisinart.com/share/pdf/manuals/dcc-1200.pdf

The FR just indicates "Factory Repair" - which means it is a Refurbished item - did you buy it online, Overstock, or Big Lots?

Hmm. Better late than never. Just got home with ours. Same problem. Called Cuisinart 800 number. Catch is on top of handle. There is a slight lip on each side there. Pop it up with pressure on both sides simultaneously. To replace, line up lid carefully with top of carafe and press firmly until it pops back on.

DCC-1150 Coffee Maker does not have power

Talked to Cuisinart tech support and they told me to unplug and leave it for 2 hours... that resets it to the factory defaults.
It looks like a thermal fuse might have blown inside your appliance.
If a thermal fuse has failed, there is probably another problem inside.
If the appliance is 4 months old, still cover under manufacturers warranty, Call the Cuisinart customer service to ask them where to find an authorized service center.
Hope this works for you.
