I get an error when loading directs. It say That d3derr is not avaliable. What does that means.

Are you trying to play any games? Check the configuration required to play that game. you can try to upgrade the directx.If it works,

However the error D3DERR NOT AVAILABLE means This device does not support the queried technique.

Hallmark card studio express program loads fine on Windows 7, somethings are missing,but when I go to print the card a message comes up saying it has reached an error and will now close and does same.

It might not work for Windows 7, try going to their website and look for updates OR uninstall the program and reinstall

One solution to some problems in FSX is to insert the 1st installation disk and run the setup utility. Click on "Repair" to run the repair utility. You won't lose any data or settings, the utility just looks for errors in files and for missing files.

I got a remote controll helicopter and when I installed the software for the Flying Model Simulator, it brings up an error saying that D3DRM.DLL IS NOT LOADED.. What can I do to run this program so I can...

The D3DRM.DLL file is the Dynamic Link Library for Direct3D Retained Mode, an older DirectX display technology that was not included with Windows Vista. Direct3D is used to render three dimensional images in applications where performance is important; the most common examples of which are games, CAD drawing programs and graphics editing software.
The error message displayed varies by program, but some some of the more common ones are:

"Failed to initialize Direct3D with current settings"
"Cannot find the file d3drm.dll"
"This application has failed to start because d3drm.dll was not found"
"D3DRM.dll is not loaded"

This error is usually a sign that the d3drm.dll file has been deleted, corrupted or altered in such a way that makes it unusable to your program.
To fix errors like this:
1. Install the latest version of Microsoft DirectX. It will fix the d3drm.dll error.
2. Uninstall the game or software program and then reinstall it again.
3. Update the drivers for your video card.
4. If it doesn,t work copy d3drm.dll file to the system folder.

Hi

We've bought the program IGI 2 from Codemasters. When we start the program the following error message appears:

Fatal error:

Couldn't get device caps

DirectX error message: D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE
File: \project\igi2\B\2\PC\pc_direct3d.c line: 2634

We run Windows XP.

Can anybody tell me what to do? I've tried to reinstall the version directX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) (as supplied with the game CD), tried downloading version 9 from microsoft , but this didn't help either.
