The problem could be any one of the things mentioned below.
1) It
could be that you need more memory. Check you laptop to see what is
the maximum amount of memory it will hold and if you can upgrade it to
more then do it. Click Start/Control Panel and look for System or
System and Performance. Click it and it will tell you how much memory
you have. You can go to the website of: http://www.4allmemory.com to see
what is the total capacity your computer will hold.
2) It could
be that the site you war watching the movie from is experiencing heavy
traffic or their site is just slow. When you watch a movie in your dvd
player does it stall? If it does it's your computer and you need more
memory or you might have a virus or infection that is causing it to be
slow and freeze.
3) Some internet service providers have
different line speeds and you might have a slow line speed. For
example, AT&T sells different line speeds and if you purchase the
low end (cheapest) then your download and upload speed will be very
slow. If you are watching movies online then the streaming
(downloading) to your computer could be impacted by the slow line speed.
